After installing Win10 update, Feature update to Windows 10, version 1703, NO SOUND?
If you have the T100ta-c1 transformer and installing the Feature update to Windows 10, version 1703 causes it to no longer have speaker sound, I figured out how to fix this problem. Go to the Asus site for drivers for this laptop and download "SOCPackage_Intel_BayT_T100TA_Win81_32_VER112.zip" . Put in a new folder on the root of your c: drive, Unzip it and run it as administrator, if you get a notice that is will overwrite newer files, say yes to finish the install. Reboot and the speaker should work. NOTE, before doing this fix, create a restore point in case my suggested fix does not work for you. That way you can go back and restore to how it was just before you tried the fix.

Hi . I just want to thank you. I am running Windows Insider builds, and not sure which version installed that I had no audio/sound
This is great, and thanks for posting the fix. I didn't have to click to overwrite any files, but I did have to put the folder in C: drive to install properly.
All is good until the next release lol.

Okay so I updated from Windows Insider 16281 to 16362 and I had same problem, where no audio output is detected.
This time, the above method did not work. I had to do the following. I used Method 2

10/27/2017 I just updated my 32 bit t100ta to the latest Win10 creators update and, again, no sound. I again did the SOCPackage_Intel_BayT_T100TA_Win81_32_VER112 reinstal as set out in post 1 above, say yes to over write newer file, and sound works again. YEAH!

FYI this will probably be an ongoing problem, it appears the driver provided by MS is not compatible. So make a note when you update to go back to the old ASUS drivers.
This probably will also affect the camera.

I agree its an ongoing problem. Since I am on the Windows Insider Program, I keep reporting it but to avail as yet.

I think, ???? sometimes not, that it is not a MS issue but and Intel issue. MS is just grabbing the latest SOC driver and installing. This one appears to not be compatible with the ASUS T100.

Well finally on Build 18204 I have sound without having to install the SOCPackage_Intel_BayT_T100TA_Win81_32_VER112 package
Also my power notification is working as well, as it was missing as well in some builds
I let Microsoft know in the feedback hub as well.
I am happy finally with it, so thought I would share the info

Thanks
Well Microsoft broke it again in the next Windows Insider Preview. I have let them know that as well. I hope they eventually get it right, as being forced upon everyone, It should work fine on all pc and laptops, netbooks, one would think.
Will see what 18237 brings.. Updating now to it..
