Have you tried searching "windows 10 sideways screen fix" ? There are several links that turn up. Although several are a few years old they may give you an idea of where to look.

    Thanks for your respond,

-It is possible to navigate through the installer with touch pad.

-In fact, I don't want to reinstall Windows. Current version of Windows (original) works fine and I have no problem with preinstalled Windows. The only problem with this tablet is dat It can not boot with a USB. It does NOT matter whether Windows Recovery USB, Linux live USB, Acronis TrueImage Recovery USB or Macrium Reflect Rescue USB Recovery is. In All cases it starts with sideways display.

-Yes the tablet has the very latest BIOS for the t100HA (T100HAN.216)

    Thanks for your response,
Yes, I have seen almost all of them. None helps. I believe that the problem is NOT related to Windows 10.
I tried all suggested keyboard shortcuts (CTRL+ALT+arrows key), but it didn't help.

    Nothing!
keyboard and touchpad do not work as it should, therefore I can not use Windows Recovery USB or other bootable USB (Acronis True Image,...).
    It is very annoying...

I emailed Asus, more than ten times back and forth, they finally said that Windows starts normally, so the device has no problem!
In other words does not matter if a bootable USB can be booted or not.
I think it's wrong reasoning. I have paid for it, and therefor as a consumer I have the right to get a good working device. But how can you make them clear?
Besides, Windows Recovery USB is a part of Windows OS. Thus, Windows on this Asus T100HA works NOT normally, as they claim.
    Or I'm wrong?
It is frustrating to see how unprofessional They (Asus servicedesk) act...
    But they have the power...

Windows 10 32 or 64-bit? If 64, that could be the problem since BIOS is 32-bit UEFI.
I only boot from Macrium Reflect, 64-bit WinRE wouldn't boot.
Every Help Desk everywhere is the same.

    I picked up a new T100HA yesterday, specifically it was the T100HAN - 64gb with 2gb ram.

I've always been around computers and it's just a given that I do a fresh install of the OS whenever I grab a new PC / Laptop, so this was no different.

I thought that I'd share a couple of things that I would recommend that you have before you completely wipe the disk partitions and reinstall Windows 10.

    So, here's my list;

1 - Ensure that you have a MicroSD card that you've put the Asus Drivers on along with the Win10 instal ISO - I used the USB port on the keyboard for my install and that went fine however once the OS had loaded it didn't recognise the keyboard dock / usb port. So I was a little stuck in getting drivers on the machine to progress.

2 - Get a USB-C adapter | I had to pick one of these up so I could use a mouse after the fresh install as I needed to overcome the keyboard dock not being recognised.

3 - Grab a USB 10/100 LAN network adapter - the ASUS drivers didn't install the wireless chipset driver when I first tried, I had to plug into my LAN using the adapter and let Windows 10 grab all its updates and only then did the ASUS wireless drivers start working. This might be different for different people but that LAN usb dongle was a life saver since I could use it to get online.

Other than that, it took about 3 hours to do a whole clean / fresh install of Windows 10 and let it update itself to the newest version with all the regular updates downloaded & installed. It wasn't until Windows 10 had finished that my screen would auto rotate (it was stuck in portrait before this) & that it regained touch sensitivity again.

I can't comment if the OS is any better / faster as I really didn't use the device for very long before I reinstalled everything BUT if nothing else I have my own piece of mind that there's no bloatware and I can do the install again should I ever need

All my ASUS drivers were from the ASUS site and just the normal Windows 10 updates. I installed Windows 10 Home x64.

Interesting, an external wifi adapter...didn't think of that, but perhaps this can save my Asus if Micro Center fails to honor their protection plan and "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" standard. I am usually the one with experience with computers, smartphones and other devices, but this thing is definitely no T100TA at all. I prefer using these little guys rather than my Macbook Air, and I am befuddled by this entire situation.

Yeah seems there is a huge issue when the device is basically driveless. Asus repaired it under their warranty. Saves me from having to buy a new screen protector. But I do wish they would provide a factory image for a reliable restore.

I realize this is an old thread but it has helped me a lot and I just want to share my experience. When you clean install Windows 10 64bit (with a usbdrive made with the media creation tool, and deleting all partitions) on the Transformer Book T100HA (mine is a 32GB with 2GB ram) and the SOC Package won't install you just have to keep trying...till it will. My experience is that at some point in time...it will install. It worked for me twice now.

In my case the Soc Package and the Wifi-driver wouldn't install either. So I inserted the external wifi-adaptor and let Windows update do his thing. After all the updates had installed the Wifi-driver worked but the Soc Package still didn't. The next morning I tried again with no result. I had given up hope. But then in the afternoon for a final attempt I downloaded the Soc Package (version 103) again from a posted link somewhere in this forum (so I didn't download it from the link on the Asus T100HA driverspage). I didn't pay any attention as I expected the error but it worked. The Soc Package installed. So now I'm a happy Transformer user with a clean Install

As for the rotated screen issue during the Windows installation. I just accepted it (eventually I got used to the awkward navigation with the touchpad) and forced landscape when I logged into windows for the first time. I can confirm that after Windows update is finished the auto-rotate function and the touch sensitivity wil return.
