a couple of question from a new owner

    hi everyone
i recently bought the asus t100ta and it was better than i expected , and i have a couple of question about the device :
1- i upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8.1 by Microsoft app and the device suddenly became laggy and slow so i went back to 8.1 so is all windows 10 version is this bad ? or is there a way to use windows 10 and be smooth like windows 8.1
2- if i installed a SSD drive in the dock will that help make the device faster ? or it wont make any difference from the normal HDD ?
3- how do i access the recovery and backup of windows 8.1 if i wanted to go back to it after installing windwos 10 ?

    thx in advance

    Welcome to the forum

    1) Yes, follow the upgrade instructions shown in the W10 section. Or do a clean install.
    2) It will not make the device faster. It might make your disk access faster, but I doubt it is worth the cost.
    3) Please read the Windows 10 threads and you'll find the answer to that question very easily. Windows 10 leaves the original version of 8.1 intact and you have to manually delete it. Other than that it requires a full install from scratch and the download of the SoC drivers from Asus.

Finally, although I have answered your questions briefly, all the answers you asked for are already readily available on the forum. Please try to search for what you are looking for rather than just posting another new thread.

As I have answered your questions as a courtesy to a new member, I am closing this thread now as asked and answered and will move it to the Windows 10 section.
