[Resolved] Bluetooth Radio - Windows 10 Professional

    Transformer T100TA 64 GB
    Z3740
    2 GB RAM
    Windows 10 Professional
    BIOS 314

I performed a clean installation of Windows 10 Professional. After the installation was complete, I checked the Device Manager and the Bluetooth Radio is flagged. The properties show "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". As a result, my Bluetooth in inoperative and I am unable to connect to any devices.

I decided to clean off the tablet and reinstall Windows 8.1. Under 8.1, the Bluetooth Radio was installed correctly and everything functioned as advertised. So, I attempted an upgrade to Windows 10. After the upgrade, the Bluetooth Radio issue resurfaced.

I have tried updating the drivers and I have scoured the forums/Internet in search of a fix. I'm hoping someone else has encountered this issue and has an easy solution.

If I missed something obvious, please be gentle. Thank you in advance!

    Welcome to the forum

    Either...
    1) Roll back the device driver to the Windows 8.1 bluetooth driver or
    2) Download and install the Windows 8.1 bluetooth device driver from the Asus website.

    Moved to T100 W10 section.

    Thank you, janner43.

I got it to work, but the solution was slightly more involved than I expected. So, I'll outline the steps I took in the hopes it will help someone in the future.

    1. I went to the ASUS site and downloaded the Bluetooth driver for Windows 8.1. There are two options on the site. I used "Version V12.0.0.9090" (the latest version available as of 08 December 2015)

    2. I opened my Device Manager and checked the properties for my Bluetooth Radio. Because I am running a new installation of Windows 10, the option to "Roll Back Driver" is unavailable. So, I selected "Uninstall".

    3. Once the driver was uninstalled and the Bluetooth Radio disappeared from my Device Manager, I ran the installer that I had downloaded from the ASUS site (in Step 1). It resulted in a message that read, "The Device driver installation wizard did not update any of your software for your hardware devices because it was not better than the software you currently have installed."
At the bottom of the dialog box it showed the Driver Name and it showed "Broadcom (BtwSerialBus) System".

    4. So, I returned to the Device Manager and looked under "System devices". I found "Broadcom Serial Bus Driver over UART Bus Enumerator". I selected the properties and selected "Uninstall" under the Driver tab.

    5. I ran the installer that I downloaded from the ASUS site (in Step 1). The Broadcom Serial Bus and the Bluetooth Radio reappeared. I also got the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and the Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator. Everything now works perfectly.

Sometimes, it only takes a push in the right direction.
