    Unhappy T100 working keyboard not working weirdly after win10 upgrade

    Hey

    Upgraded to win 10 on my t100ta, and the physical keyboard has started playing up. When I start typing anything for the first time it works just fine. Then stops. Unplugging it and plugging it in usually gets it going again. For a moment till it stops again. Bahhhh. When I say works for a bit, seems to be typing in a sentence or few words into whatever textbox or URL or whatever it is I do, then stops.

    Latest bios, all drivers up to date, reinstalled drivers, filter keys checked etc.etc.

    Touchpad always works

    Anyone any ideas?

    check connectors. it's either loose or going bad. it's connecting and when you're typing it's disconnecting. simple test is plug a usb light.

    Hello, I am having similar problems after updating my T100TA to Windows 10. When I am typing using the external keyboard, the cursor will jump backward to a different spot in the document, jump backward and highlight random text (which I end up deleting), or just disappear completely. My T100 worked flawlessly until I upgraded to Windows 10. Is there something that I did wrong during the install. I thought maybe I was resting my palm on the mouse pad but I have been watching to see if that is the problem and it doesn't appear that I am accidentally hitting the pad.

    Mondotone - what do you mean by hook up a USB light? I assume you mean to connect it to the USB port? I use an external mouse with the T100 and have used the same mouse since I bought the T100. It has never had any problems and I haven't noticed the pointer jumping around or flicker. Also, I don't disconnect the keyboard from the tablet very often. Are you saying that just opening and closing it will weaken the connection?

    Any information or help is appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum

    It is now well known with W10 "upgrades" that glitches like this are fixed 99.9% of the time by either...
    1) Uninstalling & re-installing the relevant driver (keyboard in this case) & power cycle, or
    2) Roll back to W.8.1, do a full wipe & rebuild of Windows, reinstall all drivers, then update to W10 again & check in Device Manager & then act accordingly for missing drivers.

    Finally, W10 drivers are known to be thin on the ground & occasionally buggy. W8.1 drivers will normally work better, even in W10 in those circumstances.

    keyboard on T100 not working after win10 upgrade

    upgraded my t100 to win10 and now it doesn't reognize my keyboard anymore
    is it a driver thing or a setting in win10 i need to alter?

    sorry forgot ot mention it works to allow me to type in my pin to start windows but once win10 launches it doesn't recognize the keyboard anymore.

    Welcome to W10!

    We have several similar threads to your here. I have merged yours with this one, we don't need another. Yes, you have a driver issue.
    Read throroughly here and you will find multiple cases of similar issues. W10 is causing a plethora of problems to upgraders on the T100. It will take some trial and error, but you'll probably need to roll back to W8.1, be happy that everything is working, then read thoroughly and carefully Caster's stickied upgrade guide thread and do it again.
