Windows 10 and bundled MS Office 2013

    Hi Everybody,

Before upgrading to Windows 10 I want to be sure that the bundled MS Office 2013 that came with the machine will still be available after the upgrade.
I suppose members who already upgraded can inform me whether this is true and / or may have suggestions on how to reinstall and activate Office should this not be so.
    Thanks,
    Fvier

Originally, I performed an in-place upgrade on my T100TA and Office 2013 carried over just fine. I wasn't happy with the the amount of free disk space, so I eventually did a clean install to Windows 10. Of course, with a clean install you lose all applications and drivers that were pre-installed, including Office 2013. I still have my original COA that came with my Transformer and was able to download office here after typing in my product key.

Also, if you feel like doing a clean install here's a thread that'll help you out. The biggest pain of preforming the clean install, as with most clean installs, is the drivers. However this one wasn't that bad. If memory serves me right, I downloaded the ATK and SmartGesture from ASUS, SoC drivers from Intel, and Windows 10 update took care of the rest. Definitely make sure you upgrade to Windows 10 first and ensure it is activated prior to wiping the drive. From what I understand, since Microsoft is not providing product keys for the free upgraded to Windows 10, the system/hardware configuration is being recorded on Microsoft's end to allow for re-installs. If you wipe a Windows 7/8.1 machine that has never been activated on Windows 10, it will not get automatically activated and you will have to purchase a key. On all of my PC's I have upgraded to Windows 10 first, then performed a clean install and did not have any activation issues.

    Good luck!
