I may have said that but I do currently have a Windows.old directory from using windowsmediatool to go back to Win 8.1. I guess that means I could use that Windows.old to go from Win 8.1 back to Win 10?

    Go figure
    Rick, loving my T100TA-C1-GR Z3740 64GB Win 10
BIOS 314. All Windows updates except Bing. All Asus Live Updates. WIFI driver 5.93.99.210
I get 8-12 hrs use per charge using SLEEP mode. Warning, NEVER calibrate the touchscreen.

From what I read, it doesn't function as a recovery "drive" but just a way to retrieve files (say you did a refresh and kept nothing):
Retrieve files from the Windows.old folder - Windows Help
What Is Windows.old Folder And How To Remove It

Edit: Well, I guess you can use the Windows.old to get back but sounds pretty involved and you only have 28 days. I think I'd just reload the appropriate iso.

I may use the Windows 8.1 update (it's nagging me since I went back to 8.1) to bring my T100 up to Win 10 this weekend.

After returning to Win 8.1 using the mediacreationtool, I have my ME400C on Win 10 and my T100 on Win 8.1 and there really are some distinct UI advantages to Win 10. Plus, I noticed the onscreen keyboard (AND hard keyboard, which I normally rarely use on either) is a bit flakey on the T100 running Win 8.1 and the ME400C on Win 10, I guess I'd forgotten that (Asus driver?) and since that was my reason for going back to 8.1... there is no reason not to update my T100 to Win 10.

First of all, thank you all for your advices!
...So should I try to use MediaCreationTool to come back to 8.1 or to reinstall win 10? I've just got another big problem, I don't know if post it here or open another thread: my T100 often goes in a "freeze" state in which the screen is off but it is still working (noticed beacuse if I insert a mouse, the led lights up). The only thing I can do to exit from this state is to force shut down through the long press of the power button. It could be the BIOS? I recentely updated it to ver. 209 trying to solve my problems of the first post. Please help me

The "freeze" happened to me..sent to warranty once...and solved ..so after you cameback to 8.1..send it to repair
