today, asus has put a new firmware update on their support-site: v5.0.16.
I've tried to download it multiple times, with different browsers, on different computers, but each time, a corrupted (zip)file is downloaded.
Has anyone the same problem?

I got mine over the air (settings-about tablet-system update) and it came through without a problem.
I haven't seen a description of what it does (if anyone has it please post) but since it was small I asume it was bug fixes and tweaking.
I returned my tablet but my sister has one. Since yesterday's update her Google Chrome bookmarks did synch, but they're completely out of order, all messed up. She reset the tablet to factory settings and that didn't fix the problem. Both of us have Nexus 7's (kit kat) and they're fine. Unfortunately there's no way to undo the update.Quote:

Meanwhile, I contacted ASUS-support that an invalid (firmware)file is provided on their support-site for the ME302C.
(the one for firmware v5.0.16: the zip-file for the US and the WW SKU is corrupted, it gives CRC-errors for the raw-file in it)
Hopefully they replace it with a valid zip-file...
According to the support site, it's still Android 4.3 JB (that's the only "description" you have to work with, really).
So it's not a "major" update, as a major one would presumably have KitKat (Android 4.4)
I guess if you REALLY want to know what's changed, you can download the source code, which is also available there, and file-compare ;)
Asus posted today a new version of the zip-file (5.0.16) , which seems to be valid this time.
