Good catch...yup....TB not GB. Fixed in original post.
I figured, but better safe than sorry.
I had a T100 from Wal-Mart for the past week but decided I was going to want more power. I kept pushing the limits of it and realized I really liked what it was doing. So, long story short, I took it back and ordered the T300LA from Amazon. Should be here Wednesday. It only has 128gb though, so I'm checking out the small 500gb externals from the first post, I may well go that direction.
The 500GB unit I have is very small, lightweight, and comes with a sufficient 6" USB 3.0 (fast transfer rate) cable build it.
Are you connecting to the keyboard dock with it or do you have a USB converter to use it with the tablet (or both depending on need)?
Typically the keyboard dock.
There is a small microUSB to USB converter you can get various places that would support just the tablet connector. Amazon.com alone has a number of those. I don't see myself connecting it to the tablet alone though...
In both cases, the drive is plug and play.
I read that the tablet Micro-USB is USB 2.0, which is a lot slower.
I bought the Toshiba Canvio 2TB when it went on sale as well for $70.
There is a 3TB model at Staples going for $99 shipped.
