I have just received my Asus TF-101 and I took a phot to test things out. When I went to delete the photo I could not find a 'del' key.....How do you delete?

You should be able to long press the file and the delete option will be on the menu that pops up. Don't open the picture just long press the file name.

I don't have my Transformer handy but I believe you can just open Gallery and tap on the picture that you don't want and a trashcan will appear.
Welcome to the forum!
To throw another option at you, you can do a Factory Reset and wipe the tablet and that will delete the picture(s)!
:LMAO:
Yeah, don't listen to me. I am a little sleep deprived at the moment.
Use the file manager and look in the DCIM folder, or long press the thumbnail in Gallery or open the photo in gallery to full screen and tap the photo and then tap the trash can that appears.
I've just checked this out on my TF101: Using Gallery to check your photos, long press the photo or photos to be deleted. A note will appear in th top LH corner of screen '1 selected' . In top RH corner of screen a small bin symbol will appear. Touch this & you'll be invited to delete or cancel. Pressing Delete will delete your selected photo(s).
As you will see from the other posts there are several ways to delete. Try them out & use the one you prefer.

Sorry but it's a bonfire. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonfire
I think GI was referring to a fire set by James Bond.
That will surely destroy any data on it!
