You Tube buffers forever

Have had my TF since Xmas and this weekend was the first time I wanted to kick it to the curb. I had some friends over and one of them wanted to try my TF. She is considering an Ipad 2. I let her try the TF. She pulls up YouTube and clicks on a video. Nothing plays. Buffering.....buffering.....buffering.....bufferin g. I have 20 mbps connection at my house. Even Speedtest shows 11mbps downloads. But why wont the videos load? After 1-2 minutes it would play but froze again to buffer. Any suggestions?

How did you access YT? Was it the App or via a browser? If you use Opera, I don't believe you will have a problem. Give it a try.

OK here. Fast. was YouTube came pre installed with my Prime.
Streaming channel 7 WiFi fast and stable.

How are you accessing YouTube? Sometimes I find the YouTube app not to work very good. Just using a Browser like Maxthon, Opera Mobile or Flash Video Browser I have better luck with the YouTube streaming pretty quickly with little to no buffering. But for some reason there is always some video that doesn't run very smoothly no matter what you do.

I use the You Tube app. In fact it is one of the apps I have on my front page.

The YouTube app for some reason has never worked all that great on the TF. It looks good but isn't very reliable. Try the other methods. They will work better for you.

Try using your Browser. Be sure the browser is set to user agent = desktop

I have Opera, so I pull that up, get on You Tube, choose a video, and click play. Well it actually launches (from what it looks like) the You Tube app. And again, it's buffering for at least 30 seconds before the video play and it also pauses. The video itself is only 1:35 long. To me, this is unacceptable. I go to my desktop computer, get on You Tube and it plays less than a second.

I'm having this same issue. I have tried Firefox beta, chrome, boat browser and I'm still having youtube buffering issues.

Well it's been more than 2 weeks since mrteeth posted about Youtube buffering. I suspect it's a Wifi signal (network busy) sorta problem. If you are sharing your network (more than one user on the home network) this can affect performance. WIFI Analyzer - in the Play store - may help identify overlapping networks and/or a better router channel to use. Resetting your router may help.
