Settings Tests - It's possible to convert DVD to ASUS Transformer tablets 6X FASTER!
Encoding is usually a major, time-consuming event that occupied a great deal of time. Generally speaking, ripping a 100mins’ DVD to Transformer optimized 720p HD mp4 can take up 2-8 hours based on the computer you use. How to shorten the DVD ripping process? I tested with 3 different settings and found that using proper settings with Pavtube DVD Ripper the conversion speed can be 6x faster!

How to custom bitrate on Pavtube DVD Ripper: there’s a Settings button on the interface, click the button and select desired value from the drop-down list of video Bitrate.
But this is not the end of the story. To further improve the ripping speed, I took advantage of GPU encoding on top of the 2nd test. This time I turn the GPU encoder on.

By activating the Nvidia CUDA acceleration the DVD to ASUS Transformer TF700 video conversion process is further reduced to less than 1.5 hrs. Isn’t it amazing? How could GPU encoding affect encoding process so much? Let’s say THANKS to Nvidia and AMD, for developing the GPU encoding tech.
How to activate GPU encoding on Pavtube DVD Ripper: just one click on the CUDA/AMD encoding button.
Note: GPU encoding is available only to those who have Nvidia CUDA or AMD APP ready graphics card on their computers. Check if your graphics card support GPU acceleration. And CPU encoding is restricted to H.264 codec.
