    Newbie Advice and recommendation, please

    Hi

    I have had two Tf201s.
The first - a champagne, excellent performer took a bath
The second, a troublesome and slow graphite grey one got smashed!

I miss the convenience of the tablet and still have two keyboards.

Can anyone recommend a good replacement with the same versatility of the docking station/tablet design?
I doubt I will still find one that accepts the two docking stations I have.

    Many thanks

    .

    Welcome to the forum reg_asus.

According to one of our former Moderators the TF700 Will work with the TF201 Dock. He posted that none of the other models are interchangeable.

    Hope that's good news...

Yes, the TF201 dock works with the TF700T. When I moved from TF201 to TF700T I didn't buy a new dock for the 700, I just used the TF201 dock. (After many years the combo has been so battered that it only partly works by now, but that's just wear and tear).

The TF701, on the other hand, doesn't fit the TF201 dock.

So, the real problem is to find a *new* tablet that fits the dock. A TF700T isn't exactly new anymore. And it's difficult to find Android Transfomers at all, the concept seems to have been abandoned by Asus, unfortunately. For me it was absolutely great, as long as the hardware was new and fully functioning it let me leave the notebook PC at home - the transformer did it all. Great screen, keyboard, full SD, USB, Ethernet (via the little Asus dongle/USB HUB), microSD, ran VNC so that I could access a full Unix desktop remotely, etc etc.
