Just bought my Asus TF700 and it is the first Android software I have dealt with (Ice Cream Sandwich). I'm really looking for some sort of tutorial to get the most of my time on the tablet and to teach my wife (who refuses to read any manual, but waits for me to explain it). I've done some things including get my email, downloading a few apps (at least one of which I want to delete but don't know how), etc. It is painfully slow, however and help would be appreciated.

Hiya DaleM, c'grats on the new gear. If anyone doesn't like reading manuals, then tablets are the gear for them! I don't think any tablet maker puts out a very good manual, but whaddyo I know. You'll find that android is pretty forgiving when it comes to stumbling around. As mentioned, the Help Guide will explain much of it to get you going. Installing apps/uninstalling apps is done through the Play Store. And the apps that came with your tablet--or you're now installing on your tablet, are kept in the app drawer. The app drawer is the 6 wee buttons, top right corner of your main screen. So, to remove an app from you homescreen...press and hold the icon--you'll see 'remove' appear at the top of your screen...just drag the icon up to remove. That leaves the app installed on your system, just off the main screen. If you want to uninstall an app, open the Play Store icon--either located on one of your main screens, or in an app drawer. Inside the Play Store app there are three icons in the top right corner. The down arrow, for what you've downloaded--the magnifying glass to search for apps etc, and the three Settings button. Hit the down arrow, it'll show you the apps installed on your machine...scroll down, click the one you don't want, hit uninstall. Not much to it once you get used to it. Long pressing on things is handy, often gives you sort of the 'right click' options you are used to in Windows...or allows you to save/create bookmarks etc. Also used for moving organizing your apps. Welcome to the site.
