I would recommend some detective work before RMAing it. Check Settings and check battery usage, try disabling or uninstalling possible culprits, etc.
I open the RMA and the keyboard is back from repair,...no defect.
The serial of the keyboard is B5O.... and this serial has the chip issue.
I set the "MobileDock Battery Saving Mode" and the support Asus told me that it is normal for the tablet turns on when I press a key on the keyboard, instead for me is not normal.
The keyboard drain the battery 2,5% hourly, the same drain is in standby or off, for you is normal or no ?
Which is the value normal...hourly?

Midas, I just ran a battery test on my 101, I've also got a B50. There may be nothing wrong with yours. I was never good at math, but here's my results. After I docked my tab, the dock was 72%, the tab 94%. After an hour, the dock was 68%, the tab 97%. If you would like me to run the test when the tab or dock is at a different percentage, I'll gladly try to!

sculptedstylus, try this test:
charge the tablet and the dock 100%, turning off the unit to standby, after an hour turn on the tablet and read values.
With this test the my dock drain the battery 2,5% hourly.
Let me know. Thanks.

Sorry Midas, you're right about the excess battery drain, after an hour mine was still at 100%, both the dock and the tab! Unless you can find a rogue app that's causing it, it's RMAsville!

Have you looked through the Battery Use Guide? There's a link below in my signature. I would use the search thread option and search for dock battery drain. There maybe some advice found using that method.
Actually, this might get you better search results -- go to Google Search and enter this:
