    Just Bought my Transformer

    Hi All,

just bought my fisrt tablet, looked around a little and the transformer semed to have been recieved well.

main uses are a little business, word and excel and a little entertainment.

downloaded my first book from Kindle, expensive but nice to have

downloaded music from my pc, not figured out how to create a playlist or have the music playing while doing something else, any suggestions welcome.

    my main problem is movies!

could anyone suggest a reliable way to get movies onto my transformer.

i bought WINX to rip and convert to mp5, downloaded ontomy transformer but i when i play wirh rock player there is no sound. Any suggestions anyone?

hope to spend some time on the forum so i lok forward to getting involved in some threads

Congrats on your new TF and welcome to the forum.

What format are the movies/videos you have? Most of mine are XViD avi files, which I find that they play nicely with MoboPlayer or VitalPlayer. To transfer them to the TF there are 3 methods that I have used:
Method 1 - Get a file manager that does network connections (File Manager HD or ES File Manager are two that work well) and you can connect to a computer via Windows File Sharing and copy the files to your TF. That can take some time.
Method 2 - Use the included charger cable and plug into a USB port on your computer and a device will show up called Transformer TF101. Open this direcotry, and then the Device Storage directory and you can copy files here.
Method 3 - Use a micro SD card to copy the movies to and then pop the MicroSD into your TF. I just play the movies from the microSD card, but you can copy them to the device if you prefer.

If you have a keyboard dock, you can also use a full size SD card, or an external USB memory stick or hard drive to copy files to and from.

    Hope this helps!

Welcome. You can use mobo player and it has different codecs. Easiest way is to use DVD catalyst to convert to mp4
