Talking about Tablet safety... how about turning on Settings>Accessibility>Install web scripts? It is normally off, but as I was tooling around in the settings area, I turned it on and saw a dialog box with the following message:

Install web scripts? Do you want apps to install scripts from Google that make their web content more accessible?

It is the first time I find out about this feature. Does turning on this feature, pose any danger on the Tablet of being bugged or infected by any opportunistic code? (The message says that the script comes from Google, or does it?)

I think its for people with reading and hearing problems. Handicap options so to speak.

I am so glad I found this forum. I am trying very hard to follow your guide. But it takes me forever to figure out what to do. I finally got the micro SD folder on my home screen. Whew!!
But then you say to remove both the SD and micro SD cards---
I have the TF 300 and all I know about is the microSD card. Do I also have a different SD card?
I would so like to get the feel of Android---but I am totally confused most of the time and am hoping your post will give me some insight into Android--or maybe I should just wait for Widows 8 (or maybe 9).
So please HELP!! Or I will end up taking the whole tablet apart looking for the SD card!!

The /sdcard/ directory is the internal storage directory. Confusing, yes.

Also, if you have a keyboard dock, there is a SD slot in it (that mounts in the /Removable/SD/ directory).

I do have my hammer and saw handy just in case that is what I need to do!! LOL

Why or does, Android not have a nice delete button?

I just wrote a long and very fascinating post---and it deleted itself!!
That is what I get from messing with the android gods.
So I am struggling with deleting and learning new programs.
Evernote seems to not want deletions. Now to try Scanning documents then
find a way to delete the ones I don't want saved!!
Well, I have too many questions right now--to even focus. Like --did I delete an app
when I moved it from the screen to the trash can? I only wanted it off the main screens.
And how DO you delete an app.
And do I have to pay twice for an app I bought for one android and want to also have
on another. And what about when I had to restore my Droid X to factory settings--
I thought I had backed up in Verizon but seems what ever I did back up is not what I needed
to restore them. Do lots of questions. If there are any you think you might want to answer
please do!!
But I must go now and try these scanning apps!! Sooo cool

No, you haven't deleted an app when you drag it to the trash can on your home screen, it's still in your app drawer, the three dots in the upper right of the screen. If you want to delete, or uninstall an app, go to Settings>Apps, find the app in the list and tap uninstall. If it came with your TF, you won't be able to uninstall it.

No, if you go to the Play store and tap on the down arrow on the upper right, it will have all the apps listed in your Google account. It's the same list on any Android device, and can be installed as many times as you wish.

You have an app in your app drawer call App Backup, you can use it to back up all your apps and data, that can be restored if you needed to do a factory reset. Try not to get overwhelmed, we were in your place once upon a time!
