Using the ASUS transformer internationally - HELP NEEDED!!
Hi All
Im new to the site and hope you can help me!
My hubby has taken the ASUS on a work trip to Dubai but is unable to set the required settings you need abroad to use the internet and therefore to skype...any assistance at all would be a real help!

Thank you so much for your quick reponse!! I will pass this onto him now, he said about the ethernet cable being available but obviously the dock doesnt have anywhere for this! Thanks again for such a quick reponse, fingers crossed he can get it to work :-) if not, more kisses will come this way requesting more help!

I hope it works for him. There is no way to connect a tf101 to a wired network cable as it does not have an ethernet socket.

Just having a look around, and there is a better solution I think?
Not free I am afraid, bit if hubby is away a lot in hotels without WiFi here are some options
so he can connect to his own WiFi hotspot connected to the hotels ethernet!

How do those portable routers work? Can they piggy back on an existing account, or do you have to pay a monthly fee?

From what I read in the link they are just compact wifi routers that give you a local wifi point. Connect the device to the wired ethernet point in the hotel room & you have your own wifi point.
There are also "mifi" routers that work from the 3G network - slip in your sim card & the mobile data connection is available from the device as a wifi hotspot.
