[Solved] Not able to access local network

Hey everybody, ever since the update I have been unable to access my local network. I've used ES File Explorer and MyNet (which prompts me I need to turn on my DLNA-enabled devices within the same network--which it already is) and neither work.

I've done both a cold boot & factory reset.

It is pretty frustrating not being able to access my local network. Has anyone else had these sort of problems?

    Thanks!

Have you tried rebooting your modem/router, Turn it off leave for a least 30 seconds then switch back on. It may resolve your problem..

    Welcome to the forum

You may be trying too hard.

In ES File Explorer tap "net" then find your system and tap it to access it. You will only see what is set up as a share on that system and it should, (may) ask for the user name and password. I don't use MyNet at all but access all my systems all the time that way.

What exactly was the end result you were looking for?

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

@Cattblue Yes I have rebooted my router many times.

@leeshor Right, that is all setup correctly, with the IP address of the computer I am trying to access, username/passwd. I have multiple shares available that should show up. ES File Explorer however, just sits there after I select the computer and then will time out. I don't have any firewalls on the computer I am trying to access. I am also able to access this from multiple other devices without any problem.

This issue started right after the Jelly Bean update. Everything worked fine prior it and none of my settings have changed. So I was hoping someone else had the same problem :P

    Thanks!

Well I figured out what the issue was.... there was an ip conflict. I have a webcam that has a static ip and my tablet was grabbing the same ip as it. My tablet doesn't seem to want to release it, so I just assigned the webcam a new ip and the tablet is now working like it should :/ rookie mistake
