Change Default Search Engine to https://encrypted.google.com?

Hi,

Does anyone know how I might be able to set the default search engine to SSL search in either the default browser or in the Chrome Beta? If so, would you please explain how, or paste a link to the explanation?

Hi,
Default browser:
Tap the three little squares in the top right of the browser screen
Tap settings
Tap set homepage
Paste your https link in there.

Et voila

Phil, you have a couple options. Set https://www.google.com as a home page or as a bookmark. That is SSL by default so the other part of your URL is not necessary, the encrypted part.

Thanks for the feedback. I suppose that I may not have been clear in my question. I was able to figure out both to set my homepage and bookmark the SSL version of the google search page.

My question in this thread is pertaining to the search engine used when entering a search query into the omnibox at the top of the browser screen. Although I usually remember to go to the homepage when entering search queries, it would be nice to be able to set the omnibox to use the SSL Search as I do in Chrome on my desktop. If anyone has a way to do this, I would appreciate the input.

I don't think there is a way to modify that default.
