    Sound stops working on ICS

On my Transformer, the audio just stops working at random intervals. I don't know why it stops. I don't know any way to fix it other than to restart it. I can turn silence mode on and off...it doesn't work. This is happening on both my and my wife's transformer with stock ics. Anybody having this problem?

Not sure this will help but you may want to try a Cold Boot.

Cold Boot: Unplug the power cord and shut the unit off and Press and Hold the power button and the "Down" volume button together until after the normal start up screen appears and is joined by some small print at the top of the screen then let them both go. Just wait and it will do its thing.

A cold boot fixes the problem temporarily, but it does not fix it permanently. I don't see that it does any different than a normal reboot.

Do you have any sound altering apps installed like volume+. One of these may be playing dirty.

If it still isn't working you have a couple more options. 1) Wait for an update from Asus as it is rumored to come out later this week or 2) A Factory Reset

If you do a Factory Reset just remember it will wipe all your data, docs, and media off your tablet so back it up really good.

No other volume apps. I did freeze a bunch of stock apps. I'll try unfreezing and see if that fixes it. It is weird that it is happening on both our tablets though.

I've had this happen once since upgrading. Just did a cold boot and haven't had it occur again... so far at least.! =)
