Sounds like good advice. The only problem is that as soon as I set up my gmail account, the prime automatically installed 70 or so apps that I have on my droid phone. Luckily, everything seems to be working very well on this prime. I have yet to try out the HDMI out, but hopefully that will wok also. Even my GPS seems to be in good shape. Inside my car, on this rainy, cloudy day, it was (mostly) able to track my location on an Osmand map.

I am finding the Prime to be a lot like a PC, that is, hard reboot, soft reboot and occasional corrupted apps. I have been pretty selective, just looking for the best movie player, the best music player, the best comic reader, the best document reader, so forth. One thing that happened early on was finding Netflix was already installed. So I try it and it locked up. Then I go to the app store, download the Netflix player there, it doesn't work either. Force stop, clear data, uninstall, followed with a fresh download of the Netflix app and new install, works fine. Same thing for Skype, wipe everything, do a new download and install, works great. The other thing is flushing apps that turn out to be dogs plus so many are set to autostart. Anyway, my Prime is running like a champ and hasn't needed any kind of soft reboot for quite awhile. Occasionally I have apps that lock up but I can still close them.

Looks like my daughter's TF201 has lost audio and mic after upgrading to ICS. Anyone else experience this? We have yet to reset... waiting until we know she has her pics and files backed up before we do the reset.

Also, she got the KB dock tonight. This combo is awesome and puts my iPad1 to shame. I've offered to trade her straight up, but she won't bite.

Doing a reset using the reset hole below the SD Card slot should not cause any data loss. But a backup is a good idea anyway.

Oh. I thought that would reset to factory defaults. No?

There is a specific location in the settings area that says factory reset, that does cause all the data and apps to get wiped but not the reset.

    Hi leeshor

Took your advice with my TF101 after the ICS update and did a factory reset and wipe data as I have the random reboots. My apps re-install/download automatically. As I want to install one at I time how do I stop this ?

    Thanks
Had an Asus TF 101 & Dock 'till ICS spoiled it !
Desktop Intel Core i5-2500K, Asus motherboard, W7 64 bit
Kindle 4, HTC Wildfire, Sammy netbook.
The worst thing about doing nothing is never knowing when you are finished !

Do it again without the apps automatically installing, then do a very selective install of only the basic, necessary apps and test in between. During the setup process it should ask if you want to auto install the apps. JUST SAY NO!
