Cold Boot TF101 with bad power button

Disclamer: If you do not do this correctly you will reset the TF101 to out of box condition. The volume buttons also must be working.

I was having power button issues and needed to cold boot my TF101, since th TAB did not recognize the button I could not do it.
I decide to take the plunge and do a factory reset.
As the unit powered down I noticed th white lettering that you normally see on a cold boot, I pressed the volume down and the TAB proceded to do a cold boot.

Hope this helps someone that is having this problem.

You can also turn the tablet off, then hold VOL DOWN and then plug in the charger. Plugging in will turn it on.

If you are rooted, you can run terminal commands to shutdown or reboot!

I still haven't been brave enough to root. I have have no complaints about the TF101 on ICS does every thing I need. If or when I replace it you bet I'm going to try all the fancy stuff you do.
    Thanks for the tips.
