    Hello

I am in Sydney Australia. My tablet is a Eee Pad Transformer Prime.

On power up, (just pressing the power button for about 10 seconds) the pad vibrates and then displays the Asus logo in the centre and the Nvidia logo at the bottom right corner.

If I try to shut down by just pressing the power button for about 10 seconds it vibrates and redisplays the same as above but doesn't shut down.

If I press and hold the Volume UP button first and then the power button it vibrates and the display goes away. I'm not sure if it actually has shut down as it seems to consume battery since some time later it won't redisplay the logos till the battery has been charging for a while.

If I press and hold the Volume DOWN button then the power button it just recycles to the Asus and Nvidia display.

No button combination results in a display change.

Under this situation if the tablet doesn't bring up the screen with options to be able to selected is there anyway to install a new firmware version?

    Cheers

Sorry mate, but it doesn't look good. If you cannot get to the bootloader menu there's nothing you can do. Only there you can boot the recovery kernel and without recovery you cannot flash the firmware.
You are sure you're holding the Vol Down button long enough? Don't let go when you see the first image. Keep holding it.

    Hello Transformer Users

I am in Sydney Australia. My tablet is a Eee Pad Transformer Prime.

My tablet is stuck on the splash screen.

Nothing I press on the tablet brings up a screen with options to be able to selected is there anyway to install a firmware version? No boot loader options appear.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Cheers

I understand that you are desperately looking for a solution, but your questions have been answered in this thread, just a few posts above your last one.
Double posting is against the forum rules, so I hope you understand that I deleted the thread with identical topic and problem in the Help section.
And again: If you cannot get to the bootloader screen, there's nothing that can be done. Your tablet is a paperweight. Sorry

my brother passed me his Spinning On Reboot TF101 as he gave up on trying to Factory Reset it.
Hard Resets don't work, just drops in back into the spinnng dots mode.
I don't care about losing data, I am happy to start from scratch and from my reading here it sounds as if a Firmware flash from Micro SD is required.
Question. How do I determine which version of the firmware I require if I cannot get the unit up and running in order to check Settings > Version etc?

Just use the latest version available from Asus website. Doesn't matter what you had on there before. A later version will always work. Downgrading is another matter...
Oh - and for SKU you can make an educated guess: Where was the tablet bought? Use the matching SKU: US for USA, WW for most of the rest

Asus uses WW SKU for devices sold in Canada.

Probably due to certain Canadian sensibilities 😁
Anyway - the bootloader does a signature check and won't flash a different SKU. So give the WW a shot. If it doesn't work you may have a US tablet that snuck across the border
