Hi everyone - I've had my TF300 for a few weeks and so far I'm pretty satisfied with the battery life. I've been wondering about the battery stats though from: settings - battery.
Whenever I've used other android devices that battery usage information has always been useful and granular right down to the individual apps. On my TF300 though that list only ever shows three things: screen, tablet idle and wifi which doesn't seem particularly useful at all.
Has anybody else noticed that? Any suggestions for apps that might show better usage information? Thanks!

Apologies if this was already answered: When you say "the pad cannot be charged via USB when connected to the dock", am I to infer that:
When the TF700 Pad and the dock are charged together the power plug is plugged into the dock only, not the pad?
Thanks

Yes, that's right - the tablet connects to the dock using the 40pin connector, so cannot be used to connect to the charger
So... tablet connects to dock, combo connects to charger via the dock charging connection.

This is from the TF101 user's manual and probably applies to all models -- check your user manual :

Is my dock defective?
I took the tablet out of the dock with 81% charge on the dock. Come back three hours later, reattach the dock. Battery charge was down to 78% according to the TF300. Is it normal for the dock to lose charge?

I read that when the battery and dock is charged one shouldn't leave the unit plugged in? I find this hard to believe but wanted to find out from owners of the TF300T if this is true or not..
Please advise and Thank You,
Dave

I understand that this isn't the answer you wanted, but this isn't recommended. In fact to quote a specific example I was setting up a Samsung Tablet for someone earlier this week & happened to notice in their quick start leaflet that they specifically advise the same. Leaving a a/c to d/c adapter plugged in & on permanently is going to shorten its life. No amount of comment from wellmeaning users is going to change that (no disrespect to anyone, at all)
All chemical batteries have a finite number of full charge cycles.
All lithium batteries benefit from more frequent but smaller charge cycles
All a/c chargers components are subject to increased entropy the longer they are connected to the alternating cycle waveform of mains electricity

I doubt it. I suggest monitoring over a few weeks to see how things continue.
All batteries discharge when left. That speed of discharge isn't correct as you write them, but the readings need to be repeated & verified before causing concern.

Thanks for the advise. I have a 2 week return window left with Amazon. I'll monitor this for a few more days. This keyboard dock will be going back if it continues to lose charge at 1-2% an hour.
