i think most browsers can do this, you just need to change user agent to desktop, and all webpages will load in desktop mode, dolphin, boat,... let you change this user agent in settings

My device: White TF300T, Stock Android 4.2.1, NOT unlocked.

Hi Mel, hope your new TF is working well

We have so many threads started here on browsers - essentially all asking the same thing & getting the same responses - that we now have one thread that we keep active.

"Your" thread has been added to that one now. Thanks for understanding

    Added by EDIT
I've mulling this over & to be honest with you Mel, I doubt you will find a browser that does it all.
I have been looking for ages now & being brutally honest, there just isn't one browser that does everything well - it is a reflection not on Android as such (because a similar situation exists on iOS as well) - but on the reality that the majority of web access is still perceived as being aimed at PCs running Windows. Sadly, even significant companies such as Microsoft or Google still try to "corner the market" making certain aspects of what they provide require certain browsers and that flies in the face of the open system that Tim Berners Lee gave to the world with the WWW.

But that's the way it is & when even a large company like Facebook cannot make decent Android app & makes its service heavily dependant on something proprietory like Flash, things aren't going to change much or quickly, IMO.

    All the best

Thanks for the idea. I just tried but Boat has the same issue as Opera. Checkboxes in hotmail don't work. The checkboxes allow selecting and then deleting multiple messages.

I suspect this is an HTML 5 mis- match.

Sadly that seems to be the case. Hopefully the situation will improve soon.

    Thanks,

That's odd, I have no issues at outlook.com using the check boxes with Boat browser.

That's very interesting. There must be a difference in our setups.

    Here's mine:
    TF700T
    Android 4.1.1
    Boat 5.2

    How do we differ?

    Thanks,

    MM

    tf 201 here
    Android 4.1.1
I'm not sure what version of Boat I have, can't see a number but when I check for updates it says I have the latest version.
Also running the paid version, not sure if that makes a difference.

I have tf700 running 4.1.1 older version of boat browser, but also tried on my Nexus 4 running 4.2.2 latest boat version. Both allowed for the check boxes. Are you running it in desktop mode or android mode?

Both versions of boat browser are the free version.

    Yes, desktop mode.

This is odd. Why does it work for some but not me??

    I'll have to try again.

BUT I've retried gmail in desktop mode on Chrome and this time it worked!

I don't know why it didn't work last time.

So now I can do gmail and hotmail in one browser (Chrome) so I'm a happy camper.

    Thanks,

    MM

Just retried hotmail in Boat (desktop mode). Checkboxes still don't work for me. No idea why.
