That was the problem that I was experiencing using my Mac. The native Zip app in the Mac was unzipping both zip files which is wrong.
Try using another zip app to do the unzipping.
I did this and now i have the WW_epad-user-8.6.5.13.zip on the transformer, but it cannot open it and does not give me an option to update. What now??

Ok, I must be missing something here... got the download, have the correct zip in the root directory of the micro sd card. Plugged that in, and how do I get it to boot off of that? All I have is still the spinning circle ... and even the power, down vol thing gets me nowhere.
thoughts?

on your micro sd make a folder named "ASUS" inside that one create another named "UPDATE" inside this one put in the zip file, as downloaded from the site. I did this on a pc then inserted into the slot. It should work. Thanks Roingrindwald i was stumped as well.

I formatted the microsd card to fat32 then i putted in the asus folder and in that the update fodler with in that the zip file and it still doesnt give a notification of a update.
Has anyone a idea how i could fix this?

There is no need to create any folders on the card yourself.
Extract the official firmware, and copy the ASUS folder to the card
Put card in TF
Update
TF No longer charges: Clicky
Transformer won't boot: Clicky
Power / Lock button issues: Clicky
Flash downloaded ASUS Firmware: Clicky

I am about to do a manual update to ICS. Are the updates cumulative? I have build 8.6.5.19, can I skip build 8.6.5.21 and go straight to ICS FW upgrade?
EDIT: I found the answer from another member with same situation. Must update to .21 then update again to ICS. Updates must not be cumulative.

I just put the extracted ZIP file on the FAT32 card (unlike the previous upgrade which had an "ASUS" folder) and had to power up with the card in. It recognized it and worked fine.
Check your existing Honeycomb build. Apparently if it is not 8.6.5.21 it won't update to ICS, you'll need to update to that build first.

yes, that looks like the right build. You need to download the 'TB' SKU update (I have a "US" SKU), but I don't see a 4.0.3 download on the ASUS site for 'TB'. If that is your issue, you may have to wait a bit longer till it is available.
