    Can anyone please help?
I cannot install HTK75.WW_epad_8.6.5.21 after unrooting (currently on HTK75.WW_epad_8.6.6.19).
Followed instructions but am getting the exclamation mark inside the droid.

The problem is that your device thinks the 8.6.5.21 is older than the 8.6.6.19 because the .5 vs the .6 as the 3rd number.

Do you have the TF101G (3G) or the TF101 (non 3G) device?
    TF101G firmware is 8.6.6.x
    TF101 firmware is 8.6.5.x

If you want to get the 8.6.5.21 flashed, it may be difficult. You will have to root again and use one of the flash back to stock links in my signature. If your serial starts with B7O or later the flash instructions will put you on a US version of firmware.

The easy solution (even if you have a TF101) is to flash the 8.6.6.23 firmware from the website for the TF101G:

    Thanks for your reply.
My TF101 is the non 3G. The only reason I have the 3G firmware is because it was the only WW version I could find after unrooting.

I am intending to flash ICS when it comes out in a few weeks. So am I better off:
    1) stay on 8.6.6.19 until ICS is released then flash the WW ICS
    or
    2) root, install CWM, then restore 8.6.5.21 from CWM backup, then upgrade to ICS when it's out. (this CWM backup has 8.6.5.21 which disabled root)

    thanks for the advice.

I don't know if this will help but the way I went back to stock was alittle different than everything on here.

I had Revolver and CWM installed. When I heard that ICS might be out on Jan 12th I decided to go back to stock. After reading all the revert back to stock stuff I decided I didn't want the US firmware as I had a WW firmware. So I just downloaded the Version V8.6.5.21(WW). Extracted the zip file and put it on my microSD. Rebooted into CWM and cleared dalvik cache and all the usual things you do before installing a new ROM. Then went to Install .zip from SD. Navigated to the zip file you get after you unzip it the first time and installed that. This took about 15 minutes to install and boot up fully.

This ended up removing CWM, unrooted and back to stock in one go. Now I am just waiting for ICS.

    Ics

I updated to ICS on my Prime last night. Still had not gotten the OTA update, so I went to the ASUS site which now has V9.4.2.7 update which is Android version 4.0.3 .

I had done an earlier update last week which unzipped to /ASUS/Update/US_epad-user-8.8.3.33.zip . For some reason, this update was packaged a little differently. When I unzipped the downloaded file, it was just US_epad-user-9.4.2.7.zip, so it was necessary to create the ASUS and Update folders, copy the file to Update and then copy the ASUS to the root of the microSD.

Also, the first couple of times I tried inserting the microSD into the Prime, the card was recognized, the update was recognized and it allowed me to tap on the message to start the update, but nothing happened. I then did a hard reset, as mentioned by leeshor, put the card in and everything went as planned.

    Hi,

Is the new ICS update available as a manual download (as oppose to OTA)?

My TF101 is the WiFi only version (non 3G). After unrooting the only WW version I could install was 8.6.6.19 (not knowing that I needed 8.6.5.19).

    Now I cannot install 8.6.5.13 or .19 or .21

When I check for updates I get "There is no update available for your device currently"
    My version is HTK75.WW_epad-8.6.6.19-20111101

Is it possible to download IML74K.WW_epad-9.2.1.11-20120221 and install manually?

    Y.

    EDIT:
after re-rooting, re-CWM, re-flashing older roms, and re-re-flashing newer-older-roms I finally managed to get 8.6.5.21 on and from there it was an easy OTA upgrade.
    now I'm happy...

    Y.

I'm having trouble doing this. My Asus is Build Number HRI66.US-epad- 8.2.3.13- 20110511
I took the removable SD card, plugged it in my computer, and extracted the files into it. When I tried to paste it into the root folder, it says that it 'failed'. I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. Any help?

In the Android 4.0.3 update firmware Version V9.2.1.11 there is no ASUS folder. The instructions on the SOP are misleading.

When you download the zip file (for example US_epaduser9_2_1_11UpdateLauncher(1).zip) simply unzip it and there will be another folder with a zip file in it of a similar name (ie. US_epad-user-9.2.1.11.zip). Place this zip file in the root of your MicroSD card and pop it into the TF101. After a few seconds you will see the Exclamation Mark in a Triangle, tap that and it will commence the update.

    I hope this helps.

If you're getting that then it means you've somehow unzipped the "US_epad-user-9.2.1.11.zip" file (that is the zip file that is contained in the Update Launcher that you downloaded from Asus (US_epaduser9_2_1_11UpdateLauncher.zip). That was the problem that I was experiencing using my Mac. The native Zip app in the Mac was unzipping both zip files which is wrong.

Try using another zip app to do the unzipping.
