    Advice about replacement

I have had an original Transformer since it first came out - with keyboard. I use it in conjunction with my W7 desktop and W8 laptop. In particular I like the longer battery life than the laptop. At first the performance seemed ok, but as time has gone on it has deteriorated. It frequently freezes and I have to wait forever sometimes for it to act. I think its time for me to move on. One option is of course, to not replace it, but I do find it useful. What do people suggest I could get.
Note that larger screen size/resolution is not really a plus. Battery and keyboard are. I find the keyboard so useful (including the screen protector role) that I am amazed more manufacturers have not taken that option.

I don't mind waiting if there us something good round the corner.

    Welcome to the forum

I'm a little confused, you say you have the original Transformer (the tf101) yet you list your device in your profile as the new Windows Transformer the T100

Assuming you do have the tf101, have you ever tried a simple Factory Reset? That will have a marked improvement on performance.

    All the best

    Woops. Yes TF101 - sorry.
Reset will lose everything I've put on but not the system updates - that right?
How do I do a reset?

I see you've updated your profile to read tf101...

    I'm not confused now...

We have a guide on Factory Resetting linked from the Master Help Guide (see the link in my signature below). It covers all the bases and should answer your questions.

I'd certainly give it a try first.
