    Projecting your tablet screen

    G'day All
Has anyone been successful at projecting their Asus tablet screen using a standard VGA or XVGA projector (found in most conference rooms) ? I would assume that one could just buy a microHDMI to VGA cable and that would do it. Before I go buy one - has anyone successfully done it ? Thanks for any assistance - Dave in Singapore

    Welcome to the forum Dave

I am sure that I have read here that folks have managed to do what you are asking - and I can't see any reason why the correct connector / adaptor shouldn't do a fine job.

    All the best

Dave, there are some threads around the site on this...some people have made out fine, others have run into snags. (I believe it's partially dependent on what gear you are hooking up to, not just the tablet/adapter itself.) Take a look at this thread for instance. (could be an audio issue) Also, a brief review here. Common theme seems to be that "just-a-cable" = problems, you need to make sure the cable has an adapter attached to it to switch signal from digital to analogue....and welcome to the boards.

Straight Micro hdmi to vga cables typically do not work. However you can get an hdmi to vga adapter and plug in a micro hdmi to standard hdmi cable into the box and it will work. You want to shop carefully as most adapters are for vga input to hdmi output. You need hdmi input to vga output. Read the fine print. There is a useable one on amazon for 11.49. Mcro hdmi input to vga adapter will show the listing.
