    Power button - start up

    Hi,
I know this has been answered B4.....

I always power down my TF101.

I need to hold the power button for 5+ secs to power up. Better yet, it takes 45+ seconds for the main screen to appear. It's always been this way. Is this the normal?

    Thanks.....
    Maybe I shouldn't power down...
Other than putting it to sleep any way to power down and speed up the start up process?

I use the Auto Airplane Mode by Don... LINK

It shuts most everything down when the screen is off.

    Thanks Mike.
I went into settings>wireless& Networks>More setting... and turned Airplane mode on (checked).
That turned WiFi & Bluetooth off.
Is there a Auto Airplane mode that I'm missing or is this what you're referring to?
    Tom

Hey, we have all missed things like that - don't worry about it.

As far as speeding things up is concerned, we have five android devices & one iOS in our home - none of them ever gets powered off and they are all used on most days. One of the design features of these devices is that they are designed to be left on for instant use, so I would only power one off if it was not going to be used for more than a couple of days. The battery/screen/wifi etc settings are designed for that purpose & you can safely leave your TF turned on, but asleep & it will then be an instant switch on for you.

    Hope that helps
