Yeah, I saw that over at the Nexus Tablet forum.

Looks pretty sweet, hopefully it will work on the rusty ole TF101. Looks very promising!

possibly not, specs are really high for some reason, 2GB RAM and a dual core A15 even though the nexus 7 is less than that

I read about how they are planning some of the app stuff, it sounds like they are making it extremely easy to port android apps to it.

I love the convergence of that video - using the Ubuntu phone to power everything & being able to run a full desktop OS on mobile devices & interface with your large TV in that way has got to be the future.

Sounds absolutely superb - I'd buy it if the price was reasonable & I think it would likely be that way.

I shall be reading more... thanks for the post, Wozza

The OS might be free Wozza, but the hardware it installs on won't be...

it is designed to be installable on most of the nexus devices for right now (both tablets and phones). As for the TV I don't think they have announced much of that yet other than the fact that they will be doing it and I know the desktop stuff works well. So the prices will definitely be about the same as Android stuff

I really do hope Ubuntu are successful everywhere, they have been granted a gift by valve with the official release of steam along with games, and now ubuntu looks great on phones and tabs so they have everything going for them, now if they can get steam and some of its games on ARM, im in heaven!
