Sadly I see a news report today that stated there wouldn't be any hardware with Ubuntu on it until Q1 2014 - I think it is going to be very, very hard for them to get any meaningful traction in the market when they are this late to the market.
MS, Apple & Google aren't going to stand still for the next 12 months - and that is a very long time in this marketplace...
I'm quite disappointed - but I haven't lost all hope yet.
On a related note, I see Mozilla are launching a Firefox OS as well...

One of the commenters on the original link pointed out that it isn't x86 so Steam games wont work. Took the steam out of my engine...hehe. But I still hope.

Seems that you wont be able to dual boot with android, you must flash the ROM and overwrite android to use ubuntu

They will have an installer, but I'm sure it will be able to be packaged in a flashable zip.... in fact I don't see any reason why you couldn't flash it as a .zip

This is what I expected to see from Ubuntu ever since they redesigned their desktop OS with the Unity interface about a year ago. Looks like it should be good on a touchscreen, but I have to say it's been an absolute pain here running it on our servers. Using it with a mouse over VNC is just horrid.
