Ballpark idea of how long ASUS Warranty Repair takes?

Hello! First time poster, longtime lurker.....I had to send my TF201 in to Grapevine TX for a warranty repair for the green camera issue. They recieved it on 2/13, and according to the website, its still being repaired. Should I call? Is this normal? Just wondering if anyone had a similar repair done and how long it took. Thanks!

The biggest variable is parts availability. I had sent my TF101 in for a dock firmware update (needed new chip) and it took a week. Others took longer just due to parts availability. Typical turn around is about a week at the facility.

Ahh yeah, hadn't thought of parts availability Its been one week since they recieved it today....just is hard not to have my tablet for such a long time!

It took about 10 days for my wife's TF101 to be returned from the Grapevine facility. Like Frederuco, it also was a Docking Station repair, but it required the Tablet to go along for the ride too. In the meantime, I had heard stories that even if you call Asus repair for updates they are clueless. So we never called, emailed, nothing. We just crossed our fingers and waited patiently. About 10 days later the delivery truck showed up at the door and the TF101 was back and working just fine. That has been more than a year and a half ago and her TF101 and Dock still works like a champ!

Was that 10 days after you shipped it to them or 10 days after the day they recieved it? You resisted the urge to check the RMA Status online? LOL I check that link about 5 times a day haha. Thanks for the reply

For us it was 10 days when I mailed it via UPS to Grapevine. (Yes, here in the States we gotta pay the shipping to the facility!) Then about 10 days later (I know it was less than 2 weeks) the repaired TF101 was safely back home. The repair that had to be done was the Docking Station was causing the Tablet to go dead as soon as it was attached. Undock the keyboard and the tablet would spring back to life. Whatever was causing this problem was fixed and has never happened again.

I sent my 101 to TX for a power switch not working by UPS on June 26, 2012. It arrived back July 10, 2012 with the wrong firmware HC 3.0 !! that I could not change. The power switch was fixed though. I resent it to TX via UPS on July 12, 2012. It came back to my hot little paws on July 26, 2012 with current (at the time) firmware and a working switch. (never an apology)

Haha, true....well today is #9 since I shipped it and I live not too far from mrumm49, so maybe UPS will magically show up in the next couple days

I sent my TF201 in for this exact same problem and I believe took a couple of weeks.
