I am amazed how far we have come. Thanks, Bob for filling us in. The best and the brightest never thought we would need more than a few k,mb. Gigs. Lucikly others looked further. The big test was whether a computer could make a good piece of toast!!

Never underestimate the value of a really good piece of toast.

Wars have been started over less...

Dell Streak 7 running Honeycomb 3.2, rooted. 64gb SDXC. Mainly used as a music player.
Virgin Mobile Optimus Slider, rooted -- frequently used as WiFi hotspot. 16gb microSDHC.

And I'm gonna trump your move, with a move to Asus General Discussion, because this information really is useful for all the transformer series.

Ty for the info about cameras. I will check that out.
Is there any reason to choose FAT over NTFS? If not planning on using it in a camera?
Above and beyond large file transfer?
Did the Commodore 64 even have RAM?
    Good trivia question. )
Well....... if you want to call 64k having ram lol..... Actually.... the Commodore 64 did AMAZING things with only 64k of ram. IMHO I think the Commodore 64 blows away even computers of today. The Commodore was way above and beyond ANY IBM style pc or apple for a VERY long time. It had some awesome simulators: Super Huey, Ace/Ace2, Silent Service...... HUGE HUGE games, PIRATES!!!! Even played one called Echelon. It was a space sim where you had your ship AND a drone you launched from your ship to send out remotely and the world was big enough to rival MMOs of today. The world was almost if not as big as EvE (although the grafix were all wire frame). Commodore even had WINDOWS before WINDOWS, made by Berkley software.

That alone was above and beyond any PC/apple for YEARS. Now..... while everyone else was sitting in front of that 10" blue/green monocolor monitor screen, I was jamming out on my big 19" color TV screen because a TV WAS your monitor. O ya, and if I wanted to use a joystick for a game..... forget going out and buying one that ONLY fit my computer...... Just round up an old atari joystick everyone had laying around those days and plug it in.

ALL that off of ONLY 64k of memory. I truly believe they went out of business because they didn't "open source" their hardware like IBM did. Once everything was compatable with every companies machine and the ability to "upgrade" parts without buying a whole new box = no more Commodore64.

I still have my ORIGINAL foldout world map that came with Pirates. Well used, but intact

Reply was couple years late, but....... better than never I guess lol.

You just had to drag in the dead cat so you could beat it.

As to the previous replies, NTSF cannot be used in android - or cannot be used anymore starting in version 4 - now you can only use exFAT. I discovered that when I inserted my newly formatted card, and Android system told me I can only use it if I had the system format it for me. exFAT seems to work fine though for large files, I'm downloading a torrent ( legally, of course) that has a large file size and you don't seem to be any issues that I can tell.

I just thought I would update this information for anyone else who was having trouble with downloading large files over 4 gigabytes to their SD card. There aren't too many forums about this information on the web at this time , and this was the one that I found, so others will likely find this too.

ES File Explorer is my favorite
I used to use ES File explorer but after owning quite a few Asus Android tablets where the majority came pre installed with the Asus File Manager app, I've come to realize after using the Asus file manager app, that it does much more for me and has a much better user interface. Coming from a Windows background, I just found the Asus app to work better for accessing local network drives, cloud service storage, as well as local drive storage.
