Thanks Ben2World for the list of bloatware there are a great many I have disabled on my TF300T and in doing so I noticed there were some I needed, can't remember which ones they were as it was some time ago. Fact is lots of new and even old tablet users don't know they can do this.
    Cheers

I have read the above posts which is why I asked the question in the first place. I know, from bitter experience, that is easy to score an 'own goal' by removing, or deleting things ,willy nilly, I remember that when I first got a computer I was told never to delete a folder that I had not created. But I still believe that a computer, or tablet, can be improved by removing unesseray, or unwanted, 'stuff'.

I visited Settings>Apps (Jelly Bean 4.1.1) and couldn't find any way to disable some of these, like "Google Play Movies & TV".

That one should be disable-able...haha you know what I mean. Is there no option to uninstall updates and disable or is it that you couldn't find the app? If it is the later..ensure you have swiped to where it says 'All' on top of the setting/apps screen.

When I disabled my bloatware I went to Settings>Applications, that brings up a page with all the Apps that you have downloaded, if you swipe to the left it shows the Apps that are running, swipe again, then it shows all the apps on the Tablet. Incidentally, my machine is running on 4.2.1 and not as you posted, 4.1.1, unless it was a typo ! I dont know if that would make any difference to what you are trying to do.

I see the "Downloaded", "Running", and "All" lists, but no option to disable anything, even after choosing a specific app.

You get the option when you tap an app in the list.

If you installed it, you can "uninstall" it
If it came with the firmware, then you will either see "disable" or "uninstall updates". If the latter, you have to "uninstall updates" then you will see "disable".

PLEASE Search for existing threads before posting a new one. Thanks.

    Yep.
A lot of the Third party "Browsers" aren't really Browsers at all, just "Wrappers" that change the Appearance of the stock browser.

Of course, many of the people who Sell these 3rd party add ons will argue Semantics with you about just What the Meaning of -Is- or -Browser- IS.
