So browsing the settings changing stuff around and I go into the wifi settings and I find this
IMG_20130521_111813.JPG two wifi networks that are listed as Google5G. i'm thinking what is that? who did that?
is there anyone that is having this issue...?

I qm getting a warranty replacement next week and I am wondering if I should bother with a screen protector? I really do not use the tablet for much, it's mostly just a portable video player when I travel. Still, I have a case but since this unit doesn't have gorilla glass, I'm wondering if even the simple things (for instance even cleaning it) could result in scratches?

When I got my tablet I didn't remove the plastic film that came with it on the screen
I've been using my tablet for a long time
Now the plastic film gets "glued" to the screen and I can't remove it
I bought a screen protector from Amazon and it's going to arrive in the next few days
So what can I do to remove the plastic film or should I just apply the screen protector without removing it.that seems weird to me

Hey guys, had my 300 for just about 6 months, I went to turn it on the other day, and had zero response from it. I plugged it in, while attached to my own dock, let them both charge for over 24 hours, both lights are green, but the tablet won't power on.

It is getting a charge from the wall, I've tried taking it off the dock, I've tried holding down power and volume up, just power, for 30 seconds, for 5 minutes, I've tried the reset button with a pin, tried it all.

It's upsetting because I rarely use it, is been babied like crazy, it has a PERFECTLY installed hard screen protector.

The tablet was unlocked and flashed with blue android 4.1, as well.

I have an rma with Asus to send it in, but if I can get it working without sending it in, it would be ideal. 1 because if they can power it on and see it unlocked I could end up paying, and 2 I want it back with the perfect screen protector on it.

Any advice, I'm really open to anything at this point.

Well, a tablet died today. But that isn't the thing the event showed a huge design flaw. Let me e'plain.

Basically It's official my Asus tf300t screen sucks. All it took was one fall from the top of a speeding truck at a mere 65 miles an hour and it just falls to pieces. The screen is completely cracked in its not even usable yet the power still comes on just to mock me I
suppose. Of course the case & dock died of acute asphalt toxicity...Oh joy...

I want to replace my tf300t battery because mine is gone,but i m not sure about one thingĻI'm living in Italy and i found the battery in U.S...the european version is the same with U.S version?(i know that they have a differnt voltage power).thx

This was the weekend I was going to once and for all resolve the terrible performance of my tf300t or finally get rid of it .... well I can say that now 2 days since I followed this guide exactly ... my tablet is usful again.

I wanted to share my expierence since I have been reading so many forums with folks having the same issue. So far I have re-installed all my important apps and its still perfoming great ... this week I plan to move to games and more GPU intensive apps ...

Import notes :

1. guide says to perform the erase 3 times ... I noticed after the 2nd time ... that the response was already better ??? must be doing a defrag ...
2. DO NOT leave your external micro SD card in the tablet when performing a ERASE!!! it will wipe it out to ...!!!!! ahhh .. glad I had a pc backup.
3. Before performing the procedure... I downgraded to 4.1.1 "TF300T_WW_epad-user-10.4.2.20" from the ASUS site. Yes you can downgrade !!!! I used the fastboot util.
- "fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery blob" (blob is the android image).

4. Performed the ERASE 3 times.
- make sure to remove the tic from "restore from google" in the backups menu.
5. Performed the COLD BOOT.
6. Performed the upgrade to "TF300T-WW_epad-user-10_6_1_15_3-UpdateLauncher" ... 4.2.1
- - "fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery blob"
7. One more COLD BOOT ... and wow .!!!! lighting fast tablet ....

I just got a firmware update yesterday (5/3/2013 around 10PM). Anyone know what it was for? I don't see any changes.

I had the tf on most of the day i was watching a you tube video and it just went off.
wont reset i put a in in the reset hole it wont power on is it dead??

I have a pdf file and every time i open the file, it automatically opens in adobe reader. I have kindle, polaris and mylibrary as other options to open a pdf file. I think i accidentally pressed "Always" when a dialog box "Complete action using.." sometime in the past. I just want to know how to disable that or is there a way to bring back the options of which app i want a file to view/open.

It seems Asus has started update TF300TG models too. I got it yesterday. Works fine, but I don't like new "launcher" . old is better.
All aps seems to work.

I returned my Asus TF300T back to Argos (UK) due to banding/lines across the screen (thread with pictures)

A day later I find out it is colour banding and Asus TF300s running Android 4.2.1 suffer from this. Along with the Nexus 7.

Will they charge me? What will they do with regards to repair?

I just (about a two months or so ago) got the 4.2.1 firmware update here in Canada for my TF300...no problems with it and I love the multi-user aspect! :imnotworthy:

Last night I just got a new firmware notification again!? :denk:

It said it was about 17MB. That seems small. Any idea what it is? Is it stable and low-risk?

I'd hate to deal with all this "down-grading" stuff I keep seeing and reading about!
