Hi. I got lucky last week. I won a TF 201 in a charity raffle at work. I have been using an Asus netbook and thought I'd wait until it wore out before I'd spring for a tablet. Guess I don't have to wait! So far I love it. My wife has an iPad that she seems to be addicted to. I'm starting to understand why! Looking forward to learning more about the possibilities of my new tablet.

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I just got my tf700 3 days ago. So far so good however I am a little dissapointed in some things. For example my plantronics bluetooth headset doesnt work with Skype :( also I am unable to do other things while content such as video or music from a website plays in th background. For example I like to watch South Park from their website while reading facebook or something else but when I open another tab it pauses the video. Does anyone know a solution for that? This mat not be the correct place for such a question but any help would be much apprececiated. Thanks so much for such an awseome forum......Slick.

Please excuse this post if it is in the wrong forum. 300T pad recently decided to upgrade to Jellybean 4.2 when I switched on the pad. As I was in the Pyrenees mountains with a very, very bad broadband/wifi connnection the upgrade froze for about 2 hours then started working again. It has wiped all my apps, all my data, the contents of my gallery and caused problems logging in to my emails account. It also deleted my AVG firewall app and I got hacked! This was a no-notice upgrade as I would have said no if asked if I wanted to upgrade. 2000 feet up a mountain is not the best place to do an upgrade!! If I had known I would have done a backup of everything to my cloud account. I, with a lot of help, eventually got into my emails, contacted ASUS, who basically said you have lost your photos and didn't bother to say anything about the upgrade happening without notice. Does any one know of a way that I can restore these or are they gone forever? Thank you very much for your help.

Hi. I managed to only use my TF300TG for two weeks, before the screen and keypad went crazy; e.g. screen got stuck on vertical, keyboard typed text by itself, I was unable to log in as I was unable to control the keyboard, etc. Very frustrating. ASUS service told me to send the unit in original packing to Sydney, AU (I live in Melbourne, AU) and said it would take 7-10 working days. However, the unit has been with them for 7 WEEKS. They did not update me on the status of the repair even after multiple promises to do so when I called them (btw, they do not respond to emails!). Customer service rep would not pass my call to a supervisor when I requested it - in two different calls! I suggested a new replacement unit as they were unable to resolve the tablet problem. I think I would be entitled to this as I have no internet access at home without my tablet, and I am still paying for mobile broadband access. However, after trying to contact them on a weekly basis, they still have not provided me with a solution. Has anyone had such bad experience with ASUS tablet and support? Can anyone help me to get traction with them? Worst case scenario, I would want my money back to buy another tablet!

Hello All,

New to the site. Came here hoping I could get some help with my Memo Pad 10. I know its a relatively new and unknown device amongst devs but unfortunately I'm an android noob and I need help. I got a brand new Memo pad 10 and decided to root the tablet with Motochopper (Exploit that does not unlock bootloader- or i don't think it does atleast) Anyways, this being my first rooted device, I downloaded a bunch of root apps (i.e- titanium back up, super user, etc.) and the dreaded LCD density app. I changed my screen DPI with this app and it asked me to restart and it now it's stuck on Asus splash screen.

I've tried cold booting, wiping the data, calling ASUS support, they've asked me to send it in for servicing, but its rooted :s), and trying a few how-to's but to no avail. I know that I need to get a custom recovery like CWM so that I can flash the firmware (4.2.2) but I'm not sure how to do this with my bootloader locked. I also keep getting the android error message every time i cold boot with RCK (don't know what this means)

Is there anyone who can help me, are there any how-to's that I can follow or is my tablet doomed to be a paperweight?

Hello guys I'm super new to this forum [just joined an hour ago]. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone on here has tried this "extra long cord (6'ft)" from
Solutions.com ? They say it's compatible with Andriod Tablets, but since almost everything (that's not an O.E. accessory) is compatible with Apples damn iPad
I'm not sure if it will work with my Asus TF101 model :really: So I was just curious to ask and see if it's worth getting, since the stock charging cable is way too
freaking short !:headwall02:

Thanks.

Hi, everyone!

I'm Allie. I was looking for information on keyboard dock extension cords and I found this site. The sticky says to tell y'all what kinds of gadgets I have, so here we go:

ASUS Eee Pad TF101 and keyboard dock purchased in May-ish 2011
ASUS Laptop
ASUS Desktop
Various other obsolete laptops (lol - my husband and I are both IT folks, so we find it hard to part ways with computers sometimes)
PS3 60GB (fat, backward compatible) - for sale if anyone's interested
PS3 160GB (slim)
Kindle 2
Kindle Fire HD
Samsung Galaxy SIII
HTC Inspire
iPhone 3GS
iPod Touch 3rd Gen 8GB

Good to meet you guys and I hope to find some really cool info here!

1. I used my AVG Pro trial subscription to back up my apps. The back up file for some reason was created on my internal memory but I moved it to my sdcard. If I factory re-set and want to move the apps from my sd card back to internal memory, where do I put them? Do I copy and paste to a specific file in internal memory? I don't see an obvious location where I should put my apps back into internal memory.

2. Instead of using AVG Pro, does the Infinity have an automatic back up/restore function? I do have automatic back up to my Google account set up in my Settings and I can see my apps in my Google Play account, but I can't see how to transfer them back to the Infinity? Or will this happen as part of the normal sync process?

thanks for any advice!

I'm looking forward to learning many of the things I've come across during my trolling of this forum and the one thing I truly love about this forum is the up most respect you all have for one another.
