Time for a bit of good news:

It is 2 years from now that I bought my TF101 with docking station. I use my tablet on a daily basis for word processing, downloading, Internet browsing and chess playing. All that time my TF101 functions flawlessly with an incidental spontaneous reboot. I downloaded almost more than a thousand movies from P2P networks and produced hundreds of newspaper articles with the Kingsoft app. Only once did I perform a major upgrade to Android 4.0.3 (ICS) without problems. With tens of apps installed I cannot say that my tablet is slow or sluggish. It always works within normal parameters and it performs well. Day after day... after day.
I use 64 GB usb sticks, a 32 GB micro SD and a 1 TB usb external HD. Via an app I connect to my 2 TB NAS to store the many downloaded movies and to sync my documents. Possibly hard to believe, but no subsystem ever fails.
The two batteries always reach 100 percent after a few hours of recharging.
Luckily I never encounter any of the many problems of which I read so often in this forum, especially where upgrades to Jelly Bean are concerned. Yes, in this respect you may congratulate me.
And to all complainers I would say: More luck next time!

Hi, I have been reading lots of thread here and it's been very helpful for noob like me. So thank you all.

I've just got my 101 from japan, it's used but runs well, with occasional sudden reboot etc. but overall it's acceptable. Now probably same as many other tf users here, I want the JB. But as I follow Frederuco's Guide to flash the TF101 back to stock I'm stuck at 'downloading latest firmware'. And so, here is my first question (s):

My tf's Build Number is: IML74K.JP_epad_9.2.1.27-20120515.
So I went to asus downloads but only found Version V9.2.1.25(JP).
Now why they don't have V.27 JP?
Is it okay to use .25 JP for my tf? or
Where can I download .27 JP ?

Something just happen to me in the last few days that might be related to others with power button not working issues.

I have an app that when I use it and close it, the power button becomes non-functioning.
Evertything else works fine other apps, closing the TF/keybaord and opening, using other apps after opening.

This happened one night and I just assumed that my 2 year old TF needed the power button worked on.
The next morning I opened it and checked mail, and just for kicks pressed the power button and the TF went ot sleep.
Pressed again and woke up. Well just a glitch I thought no worries.
A few day lather i used the app again (it's a sim app) and the same thing happened, let it sit over night and the PWR button was again working. Idid try clearing cache & data, plus force close of the app, but it did not solve the problem.

Since on modern PC, TABs, and Laptops the power button is software/firmware device my guess is that the app is somehow interfering with the TFs ability to see the PWR button being pressed. I can replicate this without fail everytime I use this app and only this one.
This may only be attributed to this app and/or the TF01.
This only showed up after a recent update to the app, I will be contacting the developers to see if they can duplicate and fix the problem.

I hope this will help someone else that might have this problem.

For the past few months, a couple of the keys, (mainly backspace, hyphen and 'a'), would stop working occasionally. I finally decided to pry open the keyboard and have a look around, thinking maybe I could fairly easily clean off the key contacts. So I carefully pry the metal top piece away from the plastic back bits...and I accidentally pulled the keyboard ribbon cable out of its connector.

No biggie since it basically slides right out and can easily be re-inserted. Anyway, the keyboard looked like a pain to take apart so I just reassembled the keyboard. Upon booting, the keyboard worked perfectly...and hasn't missed a beat since.

So if you aren't afraid of attacking your precious beasty with a sharp pry-thing, try re-seating the ribbon cable for the keyboard. It seems to have worked for me.
