I just bought a new RCA dual vhs to dvd machine which works fine for my own tapes from tv. My problem is when copying movie vhs (about 30 of them) which won't copy (pops up with "video is copy protected".
Any way of getting around this? Some of these tapes are 10-12 years old and i'm afraid they may get outdated and break the tapes.

ok, since my first language is not english and this is the first time ever i use the google play magazine app as well as the first time i read magazine, i have a few questions (that may sound dumb but... well i really don't know the answers so i ask)
- what is a magazine?
- what is subscription (that subscribe button)?
- what is an issue?

my google account doesn't have credit card info but i do have $2 gift card money in it,
when i found a free magazine on google play, i tapped subscribed and tried both yearly and monthly but it says something like i cannot use this payment method (my gift card balance) to pay for the subscription, and yes this is right because on the gift card website google says i cannot use gift card balance for magazine.
but then i tried the "buy issue free" button , the payment was successful, so i'm wondering what's an issue, why i can pay for it but not the subscription. is an issue not "good" as a subscription? (in this case both are free anyway)

also how come so many magazines have sexy beautiful girl pictures on the cover? :D

Something silly and fun might not belong here but, eh, I'll leave that to those smarter than me to put it in it's place. ;)

Anyway, after finally running out of interesting new TV series to watch I decided to give Arrow a shot. So far, well, let's say I'm only 6-episodes in and reserving judgment. But what I noticed in the past few episodes is in many of the office scenes there is a shiny nifty Stainless Asus computer on the desks in all it's DeLorean looking goodness.

So if nothing else comes from this show for me, at least there is the fun of seeing these in a show as "product placement" ads in the episodes.

One was even running Win8 and it's 'innovative' ca. 1978 colored square box UI. Heck they might even have a whole 256 color, color palette... hehehe...not to worry I'm an MS guy from long ago but love giving them the needle when do one of those "....they did WHAT...???" moments like MetroUI. Still this is about seeing out twitchy, quirky, frustrating family of tabs or even their laptop cousins on TV.

Hey guys,
I've got an ASUS Laptop (The worst brand ever) that has power problems. When I connect the charger, The charger gets off immediately and doesn't charge, On the other hand, The lap top doesn't turn on.

So what should I do ?

I remember when I was a young my father moved us from the city to a small town. I was fascinated every time I made a excuse to go by the courthouse. On the front entrance I would watch the elderly gentlemen play checkers and grumble jokingly at each other about one thing or another for hours. The knowledge of these men in just their bantering ways with each other was incredible to me.
Sometimes now that I am retired with no family or living close friends, I find time to play internet checkers trying to recapture that experience, but sadly I cannot.
My body looks and feels its age, but my spirit or whatever that thing is that makes me... me, is still that young man. I have fond memories of my youth and at the time I had no clue it was the best of times.

Yep, brand new as of yesterday and loving it I might add! The iPad 4 is being sold to my boss later this week as soon as I make sure I've gotten all the useful info transferred, etc...
