Asus Fonepad is an affordable 7″ Android Jelly Bean tablet with 3G voice and mobile data that place a smartphone in it. The kinky thing about the slate is that it is not powered by an ARM processor, but the new Intel Atom Z2420 with full Android compatibility and good balance of performance and energy efficiency, that allows up to nine hours of battery life during hardware-accelerated 1080p Full HD video decoding. It has a front 1.2-megapixel camera for easy video chat and ASUS SonicMaster audio technology with MaxxAudio 3 processing by Waves ensures clear, well-rounded sound quality. The 7″ screen features 1280 x 800 HD resolution for crisp, and its IPS technology ensures nice colors with 178-degree wide viewing angles, and sufficient outdoor brightness. And this Asus Fonepad is also a great media player which supports a lot of media formats including files with MP4, H.264, H.263 as video format and MP3, WAV, eAAC+ as audio format. Now if you have already had lots of Blu-ray or DVD movies, you can rip or convert your Blu-ray or DVD ISO/IFO collections to store on Asus Fonepad, then you can take it everywhere for playing.

Blu-Ray/DVD ISO IFO to Asus Fonepad Converter from Pavtube (For Mac User: Mac Blu-ray/DVD to Asus Fonepad Converter) is current the best Blu-ray/DVD to Asus Fonepad Converter that can help you to decrypt/convert all commercial Blu-Ray/DVD movies to Asus Fonepad MP4 without losing quality and A/V out of sync on Windows 8/7/Vista/XP/2003. And you can hard burn Blu-ray/DVD’s subtitles to Asus Fonepad video for permanent enjoyment.

Step-by-step guide: How to rip or convert Blu-Ray/DVD movie to Asus Fonepad.

Step 1. Load Blu-ray or DVD ISO/ IFO movie to the Blu-ray/DVD to Asus Fonepad Converter.
Insert the Blu-ray disc to Blu-ray-Rom or DVD disc to DVD-ROM as the source file. Click the Load BD/DVD button to load the entire Blu-ray/DVD disc. Click "ISO/ IFO" icon to import ISO or IFO image

If you have backup the entire Blu-ray disc on hard drive with BDMV file structure, you can also click BD/DVD Folder button to load the BDMV folder.

Step 2. Choose output video format.
In the program, select output format from Profile drop down list. Since Asus Fonepad is also using android os, so just choose HD Video >HD H.264 Video (*.mp4) as output format and set display resolution to 1280 x 800 pixels.

Step 3. Select subtitle and audio language for Asus Fonepad H.264 MP4 videos.
Click the Subtitle option and you choose the prefer language you want from the drop-down list. The Blu-ray/DVD to Asus Fonepad converter will hard burn the selected subtitle to Asus Fonepad video, so that you can enjoy movies with hard-burned subtitles. Then click Audio to select the language like English, French to hear.

Step 4: Start the Blu-Ray/DVD to Asus Fonepad Conversion
Finally, click “Convert” in the File menu to start. After a successful conversion, you can put the converted Blu-ray/DVD ISO IFO movie to Asus Fonepad for enjoying now.

Could anyone confirm to me that this is a normal thing?

I have tended to avoid chrome in the past because I have found that it is quite slow compared to other browser, however I regularly turn back to it every few months when a major update comes out. I have been using the new chrome beta for 3 days and found that it is using about 2.5x as much battery as stock browser or any other browser I have used. Is this related to the chrome sync feature? can it be turned off?

By the way I know this is not because I am using the beta app, this has always occured with the stable releases as well

Hi
I have identified that I have a problem with LCD screen on my TF101. I have sourced a new LCD. By removing the connector I have proved the new screen works and will hopefully fix my problem. I just need to fit it.
I've managed to get the cover off and disconnected the ribbon connectors.
Do I need to work from the front by removing the digitiser screen or do I need to remove all of the components from the rear?

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks

I noticed I was getting some notifications that I didn't want and then found that every app has "Show notifications" checked by default. I have to go through my apps one by one and turn it off.

Are there any applications you do use the notifications with? Is there any way to set it so that show notifications is off by default?

To me logically for apps to be able to show notifications it means they will be taking up resources when I don't want them to.

What are your thoughts on it.

This intel comes from DigiTimes, which has a sketchy history on reliability, but because they sometimes get it right, we felt it was worth sharing with you guys. Supposedly, AUO (AU Optronics) will be providing the newly improved 1900 x 1200 display panels for the next generation Nexus 7. Google is still partnering up with Asus for the overall device, but even Asus uses third parties for its displays, making this rumor more likely to be accurate. Here's a quote with some of the details,

The new tablet will feature a 7-inch low-temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) panel, produced mainly by AU Optronics (AUO), the sources claimed.

DigiTimes also shared that Asus and Google expect to ship a great deal more units of the new Nexus 7, to the tune of 8 Million for all of 2013. If this information turns out to be correct, that means we are only a couple months away from a launch for the new Nexus 7. As always, stay tuned and we will share more details when they hit the electronic highway.

Ok, thought I would pass this on in case it might be of use to other TF300 owners.

Had a fault on my tablet a couple of weeks ago where it would not charge up.
Plugged in the charger and no charge light came on and the charge icon did not appear.
Same when I plugged into the keybiard dock too - no charge light.
So tried a fruend's charger and that worked fine. Also switched over the leads to confirm that it was the charger itself that had a problem snd not the charge lead.

So contacted Asus to start the RMA process to get the charger replaced. They were fine but told me to do one final check before sending it as I would be subject to a fee if the charger was found to be ok. So did that final check and guess what? The charger was fine again?
Couldn't understand this but cancelled the RMA and the charger has worked fine this past couple of weeks - until now.

Yes, the exact same charge fault returned yesterday!
But I finally figured out the cause. The charger is designed to accept different face plates for charging in different countries. Mine has a 3 pin face plate for the UK power system. It turned out that the face plate had become loose from the charger body and therefore the charger wasn't receiving any power. It had only shifted by a couple of millimeters and looked fine -, but this was enough to break the circuit and create the fault.

So if you encounter any charge problems it might be worth checking that the face plate is properly seated before raising a fault with Asus.

Hope this is helpful.

Regards,

Lt. Dang

I remember when I was a young my father moved us from the city to a small town. I was fascinated every time I made a excuse to go by the courthouse. On the front entrance I would watch the elderly gentlemen play checkers and grumble jokingly at each other about one thing or another for hours. The knowledge of these men in just their bantering ways with each other was incredible to me.
Sometimes now that I am retired with no family or living close friends, I find time to play internet checkers trying to recapture that experience, but sadly I cannot.
My body looks and feels its age, but my spirit or whatever that thing is that makes me... me, is still that young man. I have fond memories of my youth and at the time I had no clue it was the best of times.

It adds more preset output formats for latest Mobile Devices like iPad 4, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, Google Nexus 10, etc. If you can’t find the right format for your device, you can now select common presets like Android Tablets 720P Video (*.mp4), Android Tablets 1080P Video (*.mp4), Android Phones 720P Video (*.mp4), Android Phones 1080P Video (*.mp4), or Windows 8 Tablets H.264 Video (*.mp4).

I've search around looking for a similar buffering and came across people with a similar issue with the YouTube, and found one advice about going to settings-Advanced and uncheck WiFi Optimization. Well I'm not sure if this really worked but I think it had some effect as 5 min of buffering went to 2 min of buffering, So has anyone else dealt with this? How did you fix it or did you fix it?:disappointed:

So my tf300t is showing its first sign of wear. It is 11 months old and in two spots on the screen are marks that look like dust or the dirt left when condensation dries off. One is just above the notification area, and the other is at the level of the browser address bar at an inch in from the right (landscape orientation). It's most noticeable on a white or light background from straight on. Looks like a deterioration in what binds the glass to what lies beneath. Yes I have tried cleaning the screen, before someone makes a smart-alec remark. ;) I'm wondering if it's worth the head ache of exploreing RMA.
