Question ASUS ACCY-01 USB Ethernet Cable and the TF300T

Has anyone else tried the Genuine ASUS ACCY-01 USB Ethernet cable/adaptor/network interface sold by Caseen (Genuine ASUS USB Ethernet Cable Adapter for Asus Transformer Pad 300 TF300 TF300T TF300LT) with a TF300T?

I just bought mine and get no recognition from the tablet when I connect it to the USB port on the keyboard/dock as you would with Windows Plug-And-Play.

Apologies in case this topic has been already discussed. I just don't have the time right now for decent research.

Any advice ASAP would be appreciated. I would love to work this out before I leave for trip in about 15 hours to parts unknown, perhaps without WiFi or mobile coverage.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Rman - hopefully someone from Caseen will get to you in due course, but in the meantime, I would have thought that this adapter should "just work".

In your situation, with time pressing, I would ensure that the USB port on your dock actually works OK by connecting other peripherals to it - flash drive, USB mouse or whatever.

Other straightforward steps you could try are a cold boot (see link in signature) & maybe even a Factory Reset (there is a guide n that process linked from the Master Help Guide, which is again linked from my signature).

All the best & enjoy your trip...

Thanks for responses janner43 and caseenBrandon.

I am just unpacking and thought I'd report back. The trip to the Balkans was awesome and went almost perfectly to plan. If anything, I was over-prepared. I did not need a wired connection at any time; WiFi was ubiquitous.

Flash drives worked fine on my little ASUS dock's USB port. While unpacking, I found the un-needed Ethernet adapter and thought I'd try it again. Wouldn't you know it, it was recognised instantly and worked flawlessly.

I am totally in awe of this little machine and its software. From browsing the net to e-mailing to reading free and purchased travel guides and watching movies in cattle class with no entertainment system, it did not miss a beat. One of my better purchases.

The caseen PERFECTO DUO made sure it was undamaged throughout. I did keep it in my carry-on some of the time

Again, thanks for your help and I shall visit the forum frequently to pick your collective brain.
