i really like both targus bags and backpacks. very well made and very well padded. i just use the ones i originally purchased for my big 15.6" laptops. not a good fit but i rather the bag be larger than smaller.

hmmm.. good question.. i haven't tested that out.. but if you're ever worried about that keep a trash bag inside your backpack for when it rains. i have another shoulder bag that i normally carry and that's not waterproof but it hardly rains here in cali.. otherwise you can scotch guard it to make it slightly water resistant.

you may laugh but i saved a laptop back in the day when i was in college and i biked home. only thing that was dry was my laptop which was in a shopping bag inside my backpack

technically any backpack but you need padding. they sell slip covers but i havn't found any that had really thick padding.

I've been using this Burton and have no complaints. A bundle of rain your way, pick up a $15 kayak drybag insert for extra protection -- better closure & easier to handle than a garbage sack. Cheers.

nice. yeah. learned a long time that any water resistant bag is not waterproof. it wears off. tried brands like scotchguard and another one from london fog but they all wear out within a day or so.. but now i'm driving a car so at most my bags a little moist.. but always nice to know of other products out there.

fyi if your zipper is a little hard to open/close use a candle to lube the zipper or buy a ags door-ease lube stik. the ags is intended to lube car door strikers.

Little bit confusing here.. actually, I realized difference between waterproof and water resistance.
I think I need resistance, I will not need to dive my bag into the water
