Question ASUS phone vs other brands

    Hey there,

wanna compare ASUS phone to other brands' phone coz I'm buying a new phone soon

The ASUS Zenfone2 4GB seems to be very good, 4GB Ram, and the CPU is strong enough.
drawbacks are, no fingerprint, no wireless charging.

Comparing to Samsung's S6, and OnePlus Two, and Moto X.

Do you guys think the spec of this ASUS phone attractive or should I wait for later ASUS releases?

I think the Asus oneplus and moto can be placed into a different category than the s6. The s6 is really a luxury tier device these days offering the top of the line in specs especially in the camera department.

If you don't need the best mobile camera on the planet then any of the other options are excellent for the price. In fact you could drop even lower in price if you consider the Alcatel idol 3 in the mix which is definitely a contender along with the other three. I've heard nothing absolutely terrible about any of those so that's always a good sign.

My opinion these days is that unless you want to be on the bleeding edge of mobile technology, love high end mobile games or are interested in custom development the decision should be made based on how the devices physically meet your needs in terms of build quality, size and battery life. By those metrics even the moto G is a good option.

If you want to lean a little but more towards the specs side of things then the upcoming nexus phones may be worth the wait. But if there's something else you really like in the current generation it is perfectly adequate.

I'm gong to add to your confusion In short this may not help, but a Nexus phone/tablet is essentially a Google phone/tablet with no bloatware, but the various models are made by other manufacturers depending on the model, ASUS happens to have made some of both.

^^^ exactly what Lee said. Nexus devices are usually designed in partnership with a selected manufacturer managing the hardware and Google the software. Traditionally they have never been as "premium" as other flagship devices from their respective manufacturers but the software and update support is well ahead of anything else in the android space.

The rumours and leaks this year point to a 5.2 inch plastic phone build by LG and a 5.7 inch metal model from Huawei being released September 29.

Asus so far has only ever done tablets for the nexus program. I don't think you can predict what will happen in the future.

But besides that, I think the zen phones are a fantastic deal and a well designed device. Just not the one for me.

Moto G 2015 hands down. Checks off all the boxes and more Moto G 2015 review http://www.androidcentral.com/moto-g-2015-review. Sold unlocked has a great camera for $200 and is certainly better than most phones you can get at its price.

The version with 16GB storage and 2GB RAM is $220 so a but more than you listed but this is a phone that can easily last someone two years. For the price it's a steal.
