    Welcome to the forum

Something has gone wrong I would think. You may well have to reply on that old stager of fault finding... The "process of elimination"

Try the cable on something else
Try a different input on your TV
    Try a different TV
Try rebooting your tablet with the cable attached
    Try a different cable

    You get the drift...

Also, check the display settings and make sure the second monitor is active, video mode may need to be changed, and resolution is set to what your TV supports?

Display setting supports LCD only (means just the system screen), CRT only (external only), mirror (same screen on both screens), and extended (2nd screen becomes an extension of the main screen).

TV's can only support specific ranges of resolutions and system may be defaulting to one the TV doesn't support... or system may not be detecting the correct resolution or even detect the TV is connected and leave the output disabled.
