    Unhappy Asus Vivo Tab RT: Product Registration Issue for free keyboard dock

    Hi all:

    So I purchased Asus Vivo Tab RT (from NCIX Canada) and was trying to register the product on Asus member site.
    The site kept telling me "The serial number already registered".
    I am 100% sure the serial number is entered correctly (All "O" or "0" and alike confusion have been checked and tried)
    I looked around on the forums, and it seems to be the problem on Asus member site...

    If anyone have similar problem and/or potential solutions, please help!

    Welcome Silentist, did you register your tablet, then try to register the dock? The reason I ask is, the ASUS site has a history of odd dock registration issues. This old thread for instance, from the bottom of this page. I can't recall the specifics of what the signage stated for me, but it didn't seem 'right'. I did log in/out -- someone suggested the site gets congested -- rhyme time. Make sure your tablet is registered (main thing)...perhaps fire them off an email. (I don't think email is their strongest suit, but another member may have alternate suggestions.)

    Thanks for the reply.
    I have problem registering the tablet, not the dock. I have NOT obtained the dock.
    In order to obtain the free dock (Asus's promotion until Jan 31st: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.),
    I need to register the tablet first.

    The Asus member site requires me to fill out the "serial number", "product type", and "product name".
    As soon as I fill out my serial number, the site automatically chose "Eee Pad" for product type and "Asus VivoTab RT" for product name, which are both correct.
    Apparently the site can recognize my serial number, but it then told me it's already registered...

    I have tried re-logging in the Asus member site, which didn't help.

    Ok, sorry...I misunderstood & thought the dock wasn't registering.
    I can see why you'd wanna get that registered asap--great promo deal.
    I'm guessing from your original post you've double/triple checked the zero's and owe's.
    Only other thing I can suggest--other than sending ASUS an email about your issue--is to try logging in from a computer, not your tablet.
    (or perhaps you've done that?) Not sure....

    Yes, I indeed tried on my laptop with 2 different browsers.
    I will try other computers at my work place tomorrow.
    I have contacted Asus regarding the issue... hope they fix it asap.

    even Im havin the same issue i have contacted ASUS team
    they asked me to mail my invoice copy and i did the same and they said they inform the concerned team abt dis...
    The person who reverted me was Viral from ASUS...
    Bt despite many remainders they havent reverted again...
    dis has been dragging since last week....
    wen u come come across any solution pls let me knw..
