Question Issue with the power button

    Hi everyone

I am having an issue with the power button of the Vivotab, even after applying the latest updates (software and hardware)

Once the tablet has booted and have I logged in, I press the power button and the lock screen appears. So far, so good.

But then when I unlock the lock screen, I am not asked for my password.

Only when I log in after booting (or when logging in after have logged out) I am asked for my password. It does not matter how much time the lock screen is active. It can be unlocked without entering the password.

To avoid that, I have to go to the Start Screen, click on my picture profile, then click "Lock". However, doing that all the time is very inconvenient. My Asus Transformer does not have this issue. It's locked once I press the power button.

    How can I fix this?

Swipe from the right to access the Charms bar. Press the Settings button (the cog) and the press Change PC Settings in the bottom right hand corner. Navigate to Users at the side and you'll see 'Require password after the display has been off for' section. Set this to 'Always require a password'.

Hey Breed, your turning out to be a very valuable (helpful!) member of the forum...Thanks! Someandroiduse why don't you add the Vivo to your member info (below your avatar), since your double-dipping, so to speak!

There is no such option "Require password after the display has been off for". I am using a local account, if that is useful

I don't see why it wouldn't be there on a local account. I have it set to 5 minutes:

This is a dumb question, but did you tap on "Create a PIN?"
