    I sent my unit it (via Asus UK) for RMA and I've been told that though my device was confirmed as delivered, they don't actually know where it is... Does anyone know what Asus' procedure is for replacing items as I can't find details anywhere.

    Status update... I sent back to Asus, for the second time, my VivoTab RT and now "Product repair is in progress." from about a week... Waiting for good news!
    Anyway, it took over a month from my second call to Asus to the currier pickup! :S I were from about 3 month without my tablet! -.-'

    So I am having similar problems. I restarted and so far so good. But I have this funny feeling it will return. I am still in the return period with Amazon. MS seems much more attentive about their Surface than Asus does about their Vivotab RT. I like this tablet and dock though but I also don't want to pull my hair out with stupid problems. If I knew they were working on a firmware update to fix it, that would be one thing. But if I am going to have to RMA this to fix it (when the problem inevitably returns) then maybe that's not OK with me. How is everyone doing with their phantom touch issues?

    Asus found my tablet but in the week it was missing it got damaged and they have accused me of sending in a device I'd tampered with. I've photos from the day it was sent proving otherwise.

    I have to say, utterly unimpressed with Asus right now and I sorely wish I'd gone for the Surface.

    Mine has still been fine. There was a firmware update on Tuesday, as well. All I did to fix the touch weirdness was restart it (I've restarted it a few times since, but the touch problem has never come back).

    Hello all, I am new to this thread but just to start off, I would just for the record like to state that I am not a windows noob, i consider myself a veteran. However RT is completely new and the vivotab RT is my first Win8RT device. That all being said, I am as well experiencing this phantom touch issue. I have tried a complete re-install and a refresh keeping my files. When I have the issue, it appears the issue is only on the left side of the tablet (landscape mode, windows key being on the bottom) This is what I have noticed, under device management the driver version listed for the Asus Firmware is 2.3.5.1, at that point everything looks to be OK, but after applying the firmware patch the version is 2.3.9.3. I will try one more time to reinstall and immediately disable through regedit automatic updates. I will use it a few days without any updates just to make sure everything is ok.

    I did a full re-install once more and noticed as the welcome screen what looked like to be 5 ghost points being pressed together, i immediately new something is wrong. I disabled auto updates just to make sure that it doesn't get the latest firmware, powered it down and back up a few time and still the same problem. This is highly frustrating.
