windows 8.1 problemsonASUS Vivotab tf 600

    Hi all,
I will write down the problems that I have on my tablet after upgrading to Windows 8.1, so that you know. And if you know how to solve any, pls share

1- Wi-Fi does not work will, sometimes I need to enter flight mode several times so that it recognizes/connects to my network.
2- Few times it did not wake up from sleep when I pressed the button, and I needed to power it off and on again
3- Phantom "touches" on the screen is back recently, especially when I wake it up from sleep.

In general, it is far less stable than windows 8 (although it might be an ASUS' problem, not windows')
If you have any information about them, please tell. If you have the same problem, please confirm.

    Update: Thanks webkrawler, much appreciated.
The latest update of windows rt seems to solve many problems, except for the WiFi problem. But, I don't really mind enabling and redisabling the plane mode when I want to connect to some netwrk, since I do that just once when I connect to a new network.

There have been some windows updates recently that might address some of these issues. I would try the updates first.

I had some of the same problems as you. If the updates don't help, you can try these steps to help alleviate the problems.

This is assuming you have the USA model.

    Freezing in sleep mode.

Go to the device manager (you can go to control panel and click on SYSTEM and then device
manager will be in the upper left corner) Go to the very bottom and find Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Click on the arrow next to it and it will reveal 2 "USB Root Hub" devices. Double click (or double tap)
on each one and then choose Power Management tab from the top. Uncheck "Allow the computer to
turn off this device to save power". Then click on OK. Be sure to do this on both device listings.

    Wifi erratic/dropping/won't connect problems.

    Several steps -

First swipe the Charms bar and at the bottom go to "SETTINGS" then at the bottom
choose "Change PC settings" Choose "PC and devices" and then choose "Devices". On the right find "Download over
    metered connections" Flip it ON.

Next, all these commands need to be ran under CMD in administrator mode -
From the START menu swipe up to reveal all the APPS. Locate "Command Prompt". Right click or press and hold to
select and choose at the bottom "Run as administrator". Answer YES to allow to make changes. It should take you to the
    Desktop mode.

From the prompt, type these in pressing [ENTER] after each line and rebooting when asked to:

netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
Should come back and report "OK"
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
Should come back and report "OK"
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
Should come back and report "OK"
    Reboot

Then, if you are on a non-3G tablet, simply put the the tab in AIRPLANE mode and keep it there.
Once you put the device in AIRPLANE mode, you can then enable bluetooth and wifi with no problems.
I recommend leaving it in Airplane mode.

What is "no flash" problem? I don't have it.
