Is vivotab rt mobile dock compatible with Vivotab and Vivotab smart?

I am buying vivotab smart and vivotab rt mobile dock for keyboard and extended battery. anyone who has this combination could confirm if the dock works with vivotab smart and lathes well?

Hi fakenoob, I don't think the dock for the rt works with the vivo smart tab, which is odd, cause it's called 'smart'.

The VivoTab RT dock is only compatible with the VivoTab RT. The RT is 10.1", whereas the VivoTab is 11.6", so the docks are different sizes, hence no compatibility.

As for the VivoTab Smart, this 10.1" but has no capability of connecting to a dock. The only keyboards available for this are Bluetooth ones.

i think info in liliputing is wrong when they say RT dock is not going to fit in vivotab smart. i checked with asus and its going to be compatible.
when you see RT and smart both have 10.1 display and their dimension( lenght ) also match. so RT dock will fit in vivotab smart however i dont think RT dock will fit in 11.6 in vivotab which is dimensionwise bigger so it will need a different longer dock.

i am going to buy vivotab smart and RT dock.. i will let you know once i get it to my hands

The VivoTab Smart does not have the 36-pin connector, nor the latch holes on the bottom of it that the RT dock uses. You can see this at 1:11 on in the 'Hand-On' video eejit posted. Compare it do the bottom of the VivoTab RT: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._AA1500_.jpg

dyaaam . you just saved me from buying i am cancelling my orders now. 10.1 tablet without the dock will not be of much use to me. how do i use native windows programs with hand. and that bluetooth keyboard is not for me if it doesn't have an extended battery
